the palm cushion is meant for catching combos in training and after using the venum elite gloves which have the same amount of palm padding I can say that it 100% helps when catcing combos. Keep up the good work!

I had my venum Elite for 2,5 Years and there are still good

Venum usually have great Black Friday sales. I picked these up for $45. For that price they are great. The padding is super dense though. probably not the greatest for sparring even when they weigh over 18oz!

I've just bought these gloves in black and gold to match my kickboxing gi. Looking forward to pounding it out on the bags

what would you day the most dense gloves are you've tried? soft padding tends to hurt my knuckles more vs a harder dense padding

I like what venum is doing

They do look decent for synthetic

That "lump" on the palm which runs down the ridge of the hand is for when blocking kicks. A heavy kick which lands with the shin, can break arms and wrists when blocked.

Yes I’m purely boxing 🥊so whilst I understand the gloves use in other combat sports I look at all gloves from the boxing only point of view 🥊👍🏼

I’m a kid but I don’t have venum gloves but what I do have is EVERLAST Gloves IM A EVERLAST FAN BOI

I have that glove and I love it

I think you missed the purpose of that palm padding. They are useful when you're about to hit the deck after getting tagged. You place your open palm on your head and cushion the fall to the canvas. Haha!

I hope you see this. I actually bought these and they feel great after a couple of uses. They feel a little more like a punchers glove because of the pop than ringside apex and I like it better as the ringside apex recoils. I'm considering boxeo tm, Adidas speed tilt 350 and maybe top boxer win1 for bag work and mitts(14oz). Which would you recommend for those purposes?

Hi mate, great review! Recently purchased these they feel a little bit tight with my wraps on to the point where I had to take them off an use my old gloves. Is this the feeling you had when you used them? Is this normal until they are worn in?

They were a small 16oz size wise and did take some time to become more comfortable have you got the right size for your hands?

@@Fit2Box I'm 6' 2" and weigh 14st 7lb and would say my hands are average compared to my size and I use 4.5m elasticated hand wraps (beast gear). The gloves are 14oz which are the same weight as my old gloves.

Luke Rogers yes for you height and weight I would have said you should have 16oz anyway so yes given that my 16oz were compact 14oz definitely would be too small

I have a pair of 16oz impacts and they’re great but I feel like they’re too large in size. Are all venum gloves oversized like twins or are there any smaller styles? If not are there any other middle range brands that are a bit smaller in profile than the twins and venums?

@@Fit2Box sorry yes the inside of the glove is compact but the glove itself is quite bulky. I have the valour strike all black and an old pair of blitz sparring gloves and both are smaller profile so easier to spar in. I feel like with the venum impacts it’s hard to land because the surface area is so large

These looking good Im 180cm Tall and 84kg but relatively small Hands Should i go with 16? More using it for heavy bag

Fit2Box I feel like people rather buy Venum as their first gloves because of the look, they are comfortable but pretty bulky and heavy so sparring with them isn’t that fun after the first round, tho if someone who really wants venum, they should get the Elite over those since the elite are lighter and smaller also offer a good padding as the impacts

I bought a pair of those. 12oz and after about 6-7 months of regular use, my padding on the gloves started getting small dots. And now its all fucked up. At the begining they were cool gloves, but for the price you are paying for, you can get better quality gloves of a diffrent not so much known brand.

@@Fit2Box Thank you for your prompt reply. One more question though. Do you consider Venum Impact best glove under 60-70 pounds? I train 2 -max 3 times a week. Looking for a universal glove that could provide max protection and endure padworks, bag works, sparring sessions - yet all on amateur/white collar bosing level. Perhaps thee's a better alternative to Venum Impact in this price point?

Adidas Hybrid 300 looks outstanding, yet it's worth £100 in my country Bryant Boxing $275.00 Chaos £80 RDX Aura £60 The rest from the list is not available in Poland either. I guess I'll stick to those Venum Impact for £25 (shopping price would be £60 here in Poland). Would you mind if I send you some photos of the pair so you could take a quick look and see if there's anything off with the pair I'm about to purchase?

Impact are a more compact firmer sparring glove Elite are a wider softer sparring glove So it’s what you prefer

Am I supposed to use some kind of hand wraps with these when hitting a bag or is just the gloves ok?

Twins are bigger more protective but also more Muay Thai shape The VENUM impact are smaller more compact boxing gloves Quality and durability I would go twins out the two

Not sure if you're still looking for an answer on this but I've tried both and the Fury gloves are much better in every aspect. Better knuckle and wrist protection, more durable, better Velcro on the hook and loop. I have Winnings and I prefer the Fury for bag work

These are a labelled 16oz glove that has a compact profile for a 16oz but weighed 19oz and 18oz which did shock me
