Venture to Nova Scotia

In the autumn of 2007, a Fleming 65 named Venture started south from the Pacific Northwest on a voyage that would ultimately take her and her crew down the west coast of north and central America, out to the Galapagos Islands, through the Panama Canal and up the east coast of the USA into the Great Lakes and down the St Lawrence Seaway to Nova Scotia. In Part 9 Venture leaves Prince Edward and Cape Breton Islands and heads into the boisterous North Atlantic to Halifax to complete the voyage to Nova Scotia and on to New York to complete the Down East Circle.

I've watched the videos of Venture from Vancouver, to Alaska to Nova Scotia. I can not, for the life of me, think of a greater sales pitch than what I have seen here. Truly, if I had the money, something I do not, I would seriously be looking at the Fleming 75 that Chuck Hovey has in Newport Beach, California. I haven't been in or on a boat since I was in high school (way back in the early to mid 1970's) and I don't know now if yachting is something I would like to do on a regular basis, but indeed, if nothing else, I would love to retrace the path that Mr. Fleming has taken here. A six month sojourn around North America would indeed be something that I would truly love to experience. Mr. Fleming, your design philosophy is abundantly clear in Venture, and to take her 50,000 miles or more is truly a testament to how well the yachts are designed and built. I would, sir, be willing to sail aboard any well maintained Fleming yacht to just about anywhere on the planet. Well done, sir, both the yacht and the videos.

Between fuel, food and wages for crew, I'm guessing in the area of $120,000 for this beautiful adventure? Higher or Lower? LOL! Really great videos!!
