Looks pretty good but I think hits could use a little more impact. I think louder and squishier sfx would really add a lot

Working on this as we speak! Went over it with the team and we think the reactory animations for the greatsword are too short compared to the swing time so we will be reworking that, adding some knockdown animations to play for bigger impacts like the hand ability, and a couple more reworks to the VFX elements to see what sticks.

Sound wise we will be taking a look at that too, gore implementation in terms of sound related stuff in our style is hard and we want the game marketable to a variety of audiences so squishier sounds might not do us any good in that regard if we make them too realistic.

@@VentureMMO you have to remember that the size and Weight affects sound it doesn’t have to sound realistic but don’t like how the spear and great sword make the same sound on impacted

@@FormlessVaildw leave it to the devs they a got a good sense of realism it is still in pre alpha after all it will be changed and polished up more.

This was definitely worth the wait. Glad to see the team is still making steady progress. But like how everyone else had already said, there really should be a lot more impact and wind up for weapons with maybe a riposte system to? Nevertheless, I hope development keeps going smoothly for you guys.

We are looking into the impact issues, we don't know if they are sound related or in the context of the trailer are causing issues. The intensity of the music might just not fit with the speed of our trailer because none of our internal testers have ever commented about on-hit feedback considering how popular this issue has been in comments.

The weapons looks like they have really good wind-up time, the game looks really good as it seems like the combat is actually more skill than predicting moves and randomly rolling. Very excited to be able to play this game!!!

Currently, the only thing I really want to say is what has already been said with the sound fx and hit feeling. other than that, it looks pretty good! I think some of the biggest thing with player combat is to make it clear what's happening with audio or visual cues like the sound fx when parrying and a stable network connection (minimal network lag). I'm not sure how much control you guys have over a good connection with the servers, but lag in a reaction game like this would prob be very frustrating for me and prob others too. Keep up the good work!

Some of the network issues were due to recording software not in-game hit registration. Regardless it's all being looked at and i'll keep people updated via the discord with progress in terms of on-hit and network stuff but it will all be fixed prior to launch.

This looks pretty good for a PRE-ALPHA combat system, as most games do not have this variety of mechanics in that state. Especially considering the rigs are custom made too. Good shit 👍I see A LOT of potential here.

I can see from the rolls and weapon hitting time that this game will have awesome physics

Looks clean, the visuals are pretty cool, the map is nice, really like the lightning separation between dark and light areas, but there are some things that i would change/add to give more impact to being hit, since its kind of a soulslike combat style giving as much emphasis to being hit is important, first, the sfx, seen some people talking about it, for example, the hand atack in 1:30, the sound of it getting out of the ground is really cool, but when it hits it doesent feel as powerful as it should be, it doesent feel like a giant hand almost double your height hit the ground right next to you, i think adding something like more bass to the hit sound and making it a bit louder should give it some more impact, i think the sounds the weapons make when not hitting anything and just cutting thru the air is awesome, but something that i think would be cool to have when a weapon hits the player is a directional camera tilt from the way the atack came from, the same way for example your head goes to the right when you take a right hook to the jaw and then back at the enemy when you lock eyes on him again, there would be 9 directions the camera could shake towards, one being the shake that the game aready has, ill get to that later, depending on the atack the camera would go: right, bottom right, top right, up, down, left, bottom left and top left, currently from what i noticed there is one camera shake that applies for most hits, i think this shake in specific should be kept for piercing/straight hits like the arrow at 2:12, the sword pierce at 0:55 and the spear pierce at 1:07, now for atacks such as the greatsword direct down hit at 1:47 i think it should have a camera tilt that goes down or to the bottom right, same for the spear swipe at 1:08 but with a camera that goes a directly to the left then back in, you get the idea, also how much the camera shakes would depend on how heavy the weapon is/how much damage it does. I think having this would give a lot more emphasys to being hit, so when you are getting comboed its like youre being thrown around, take my suggestion with a grain of salt as i am no dev and have no idea on how hard that would be to implement on the game, the game is looking good but it can certainly be better.

There will be dust effect and and animation that will play out in the future as it says in the title this is pre alpha so nothing you see is the final product. You do get sparks when you successfully parry idk if you noticed probs the edits and music that got in the way. The blood effects will probs get a overhaul

Incredible graphics and animation! The only thing that I think could use more improvement are the sound effects, kind of like what @Rhino182 said. I can't wait for it to come out! One question, will this game be free to play?

the greatsword feels a bit too heavy for its size and the range of motion for the dual sword moveset seems a bit too small. other than that amazing
