Venous Pressures: Central vs Peripheral Venous Pressure, Factors Affecting it:
Central venous pressure is pressure in right atrium. Normally its 0 millimeters of mercury. Its affected by how much blood is coming in and how much is going out. Due to compression of large arteries, the pressure in peripheral veins is 4 to 6 millimeters of mercury. It rises with rising central venous pressure. And pressure in leg veins may rise as a consequence of increase in intra-abdominal pressure too. Because of gravity, the pressure in lower part of body increases as we go lower and lower from the level of heart.

Atmospheric pressure barely cause compression at sea level when ur at rest with respect to inertial frame of reference. The concentrated force by atmospheric gas molecules is same along any vector in Cartesian space which is 760 mm hg at sea level when wind velocity is normal.
