Dopo la straordinaria vittoria in discesa di ieri, Marta Bassino era attesa oggi in Super G per verificare se il suo recupero è completo: risposta completamente positiva. Avrebbe addirittura vinto senza il deterioramento della parte finale della pista. Marta Bassino è l'unica Italiana ad avere vinto in 4 discipline diverse, per gli uomini solo Gustav Thoeni. Come avevo detto in precedenza, Marta è l'unica, insieme con Deborah Compagnoni, ad avere doti tecniche eccezionali pari a Thoeni.

Logically Shiffrin should return in Val di Fassa to maintain a chance at the big globe. I think is a risk worth taking. Slalom is pretty much in the bag (Durr not so much in form for 2x wins), so no logic to return later in Are.

I can't see any logic that supports that. In fact, I'd say it would be [redacted] for her to try it. But we know she doesn't make [redacted] decisions. As she's said, she's in it for the long haul. That means get into shape for next season and beyond, and be at the finals to get some competition experience and receive her Slalom globe. So her plan is to return at Åre. Here's where logic leads: There are a combined total of 7 DH, SG and GS races remaining in the season. Lara Gut-Behrami has multiple podium finishes, including wins in all three disciplines this season. She also has a 200 point lead in the over all standings. There are a combined 4 GS and SL races remaining. I'll leave the math to you, if you think it's worth it (it isn't). The Slalom globe is all but in the bag. The GS globe is out of reach. The overall, is pure fantasy. edit: PS She hasn't even been on snow yet.
