It was a wonderful Mother's Day Weekend singing with the wonderful Venice Symphony under the direction of the amazing Troy Quinn. Also ... the Margarita Girls ride again!

I had the privilege to sit front row at both the Friday and Saturday show. I was the guy that nearly fainted when you accepted the roses I brought for you! It was a dream come true. I’ve been a fan for over 20 years and it was my first time seeing you live. My Mom and I drove down from Atlanta. What a perfect way to spend Mother’s Day! Thank you for the unforgettable experience that weekend, and for the blessings your music has brought me for so many years!

I think it's amazing how Linda seems almost eternal. If it were not for these white hair - a look she's rocking btw - I'd never think she has aged much since the day I've first listened to her. Same face, same sympathic and fun personality, same manierism, same passion and same talent. Although it's true she may not use her voice as easily as before but listen to these notes, just wow. I might be even more impressed because of it. Watching this I'm thinking "I want to be like her when I'm older" haha I am so glad people today never forget how talentuous she is and invite her to do lovely performance like this one. As an amateur singer, I look up to her. Nowadays music sure does sound very different from what was made 40 years ago. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worst. And I think it's such a shame how most young people don't give much attention to great voices, they're missing out on something. I never listened to the Venice Symphony before, it does sound wonderful ! I'll definitely look it up.

This vlog was moving and so much fun to watch.I had the pleasure of seeing you perform with the NJ Symphony Orchestra a few years back...one of my favorite concert memories of you. The song You'll Never Walk Alone always reminds me of my grandmother who would have celebrated her birthday this week. The sunset was almost as beautiful as your voice and heart.🤍 Thanks for just being you🤍

As if I needed another reason to love you…Climb Every Mountain!!!! My all time favorite movie and adore Julie Andrews. You made it your own and sang it so beautifully, I cried through it twice. You amaze me Linda Eder, You are magical! This was one heck of a show, I know you called these songs ball breakers but they are so gorgeous and only you can sing them all in one show… Forever grateful for that day in May 1997 seeing a show I really wasn’t excited for until you stepped on stage and blew me away…. Thank you for the music Linda, God Bless you and that voice ❤️❤️

What a gift, Linda! Such a genuine treat to see the expressions of joy and delight on the face of the Venice Symphony conductor, the faces of the Venice Symphony orchestra members, as well as “the boys in the band” as you stand and deliver a performance that each and every time goes straight to the heart! (Anthem was inspired!) I’m in awe…always. Every performance is a master class! Thanks! And, Ellen, you look fabulous!!! You’re both forces of nature from whom much can be learned! “Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart and you’ll never walk alone…” pretty much say’s it all! The perfect punctuation to a terrific vlog! Cheers!

I've gotten so used to having fun with all the horses, and weight loss, and crafting, and teaching, and snow! that I had kinda forgotten that this right here is the essence of your life's work. singing like this, with the orchestra, its breath taking I mean, always talk about you being one of the absolute top tier singers in history, and this was a glorious celebration of that. it was astonishing. I am so happy you shared this with us!

That you overcome your "stage nerves" and step on to that stage and give it your all speaks volumes of your dedication, your loyalty, your love for your fans, and the love for your gift. Indeed, a true entertainer and performer! Great to see you and Ellen (Lucy and Ethel) together again enjoying life. Ice cream for breakfast---what could be better! Thank you Linda for sharing your voice, your smiles, and your heart with us. Blessings. You are Loved.

I have been MIA for a few months, so I will have to find that video with Ellen. She looks so great! My husband had cancer during the Covid shut-down and when you were laying in the grass, outside of a clinic, talking about a friend who had cancer, I just felt it must be Ellen. So I prayed hard for her and at the same time, for my husband, the other big Linda Eder fan. Thankyou for posting so much of this concert. It can be a stand-in when we are starved for seeing/hearing you in concert. You may have been nervous, but we just heard someone stellar at their craft, whose music elevates everything and everyone around her.

WOW! what a great show, Linda. The Venice orchestra was excellent and it was great to hear you sing some of the songs you haven't done in a while - Climb Every Mountain, Don't Rain on my Parade, and the Chess song as a tribute to Ukraine was very touching. You are such an amazing performer and you and Troy the director complimented each other so well! congrats!

Linda, thank you SO much for sharing this. It is amazing, for those of us starved by Covid from being nourished in person by your performances, to be able to see and hear you this way for at least a flavor of the experience. The symphony was a spectacular partner. And Ellen, it is so wonderful to see you out playing! The whole ice cream for breakfast thing has potential.

I was perusing your KZread videos and came across this one again. I thought sure I left a comment at the time of your post but I can’t find it here. I too was fortunate enough to be at this concert, actually both of them. I had to get my “Linda fix” that weekend. It had been far too long. The orchestra was wonderful and Troy Quinn is a gem but it was your voice that brought me to Venice and your voice never disappoints. I sat in absolute awe for both shows. I was in the second row chatting with the folks in the first row before the show started. They were obviously symphony season ticket holders and unbelievably, they had never heard of you. 😮 I told them that they were in for a real treat. During the intermission, they spent the entire time just gushing about your talent. I told you so! Sadly, there was no meet and greet after these shows so I’m on the hunt for another opportunity to meet you in person and hope that it will happen soon. Ellen is adorable and I’m so glad she is well again. I wish her continued good health. Take care of yourself Linda and that unparalleled voice of yours! ❤ from Louisiana

If I hadn’t been following your career, first TV, then albums, and thankfully now your KZread channel, I would say what an amazing fresh new voice! Your voice soars as you hit those big notes with that familiar clarity and power. It thrusts like a rocket to land on that pitch then seems to sustain with the ease of a glider. At least you make it look like it’s easy! Thanks for all the joy since catching a fun little talent show, through albums and Broadway, and now the chronicles on KZread. Couldn’t see you last year in NYC when I had tickets, but now I HAVE to see you with an orchestra.

Love your performances, and your travelogues nearly as much. It's rainy and dark down here in Tasmania, where we're about as far south in the Southern Hemisphere as you can get and still be on dry land. The wild wallabies come for a supplemental feed at dusk. If I don't feed them kangaroo pellets, they will eat my ducks' grain, which is bad for their guts. Fat furry extortionists. Enjoy your springtime critters, in addition to the dogs and equines. Until next time. Cheers.

Linda, let me begin by saying I’ve coached players all my life. From children to Olympic level athletes. Please remember my words. Of course you are nervous. I’d be worried if you weren’t. Being nervous simply proves you are a race horse, not a cow. Cows get led to slaughter. Race horses are crowned champions. Just now, I watched an Olympic level performance. Outstanding. Carry on. With love, Mark.
