I'm a Brit living in the USA in Portland Oregon. I see the tragedy of homelessness every day. Today Feb 23rd 2023 we have had 10.5 inches (26cm) of snow and it's-7c. Your suggestion that folk donate money to help such folk rather than send it to you made me proud to see. I wish you every success in your travels, and thank you for your generosity of spirit.

Lovely video again. I like to see what progress is being made in building restoration - I note they are repairing the riva degli schiavvoni fondamenta after the floods. I like 'I love you Venice' webcam site so it's nice to get a tour around. It's sad to see more shops shut - Cannaregio looks quiet. Nre camera is obvious as picture quality is superb. The bright light is a tonic on a dark winter day

Был там с семьёй в 2018. И вправду интереснейшее место. Жизнь на воде не сравнится с поездками по асфальту вообще никак. Все по-другому, все очень особенное, переворачивающее привычные шаблоны проживания. Всё таскаешь на руках, никакой тебе машинки с багажничком. Все по расписанию катеров. Проездные за чудовищные деньги. Бабы с маникюром, крутящие канаты для причаливания на каждой остановке. Огромные "парковочные" столбы для причаливания личных лодок. Всё совершенно как на другой планете

The fancy-ass hotel was originally the Palazzo Dandolo. The ramped sommergibile in the Arsenale is called the _Enrico Dandolo._ And there were Dandolo doges. Apparently, it was dandy to be a Dandolo.

When they swam under the bridges in the video, I tilted my head for some reason. Was I the only one doing this? 😂😂😂

I've been wanting to for years now but I haven't found a good 360 camera. The selection is very small and there are issues with most of them. I will hopefully have one before I go on my next trip though.

Savor the portions in Castello and Dorsoduro neighborhoods, which are the least overrun and most charming (to me).

❤ this boat tour around Venice. Was there twice - in April and in September.

Hey, thanks! yeah, this should be a part of every trip to Venice..if possible. Most people crowd onto a water bus but that just doesn't provide the right experience for a canal trip.

Fantastic views! I just returned from Venice a few days ago (26 - 31 Oct). The weather was 21 to 24 degrees so you could wear shorts from 11am to 5pm - needed a light top early morning and evening. It's great that you got a private boat. When i was there, the public vaporettos were very crowded. Can you tell me if you are driving the boat yourself or if you have a driver and how much it was? I'd love to the same kind of tour as you did next time!

Hey David, yeah the vaporetti are always crowded. They a good way to get from Point A to Point B, but not a good way to enjoy the canal. I just hired a water taxi to take me around for a few hours. I think the cost was about €150 per hour.

Getting lost is the best part. :)

The vaporetto and the self serve ticket kiosks are also a place for pick pockets- I got robbed during my only trip to Venice. Pay extra and take private transport unless you have no valuables with or on your person.

I used a Gopro Hero 8 on my first Venice canal tour. On this on though I used a Sony a7siii. I need to go back and do it again...i have a new lens and know more about how to use my camera now. :)

I filmed this on a watertaxi and they are everywhere, but this one is electric and makes almost no sound which is why I chose this boat. You can write him on Instagram @watertaxi_372 and see if you can book a tour.

I'd like to stay around a certain area so at night we can see light reflection off grand canal; and be adjacent museums in early morning hours just awaking to early morning sunrise

Let me ask you a more technical question. Your video has a very stabilized image. Was this stabilization done in the studio or in the camera itself? If it was in camera, did you use an external stabilizer, or the camera stabilizer? If it was stabilized in the camera itself, can you tell me which camera you used? Thanks

This was filmed with a Sony A7SIII mounted on a Ronin S2 gimbal. I held the camera the whole time.

He said typically 150/hr, so I'm figuring maybe 400-450. But when the weather starts getting rough and the tiny boat is tossed, if not for the courage of the fearless crew, well, you know you know what could happen on one of those 3 hour tours.

Well..I'm not sure how many extra ads KZread puts in that are out of my control. From my end, I see 7 total ads. For a 3 hour video, that is not too many. A lot of 15 minute videos have 7 ads.
