Store owners have to pay RENT. Vendors don't. Need I say more? NY is in AMERICA not Latin America/South America! Get them all off our streets! If they want to have a store the need to rent a building like all other American store owners.

Great! They can sell that tourist crap elsewhere instead of ruining the experience of walking the bridge. Nothing of what they're selling is original or of any actual value.
Go to Jamaica Ave / Archer Ave a disgrace. They closed down the walgreens and "vendors" fighting over who was in a spot first. Just all around stank and nasty. My patience is wearing thin Brandon
About time, there are so many vendors everywhere
When i was riding on the bike lane, i said wtf? People couldn't even move. The people had nowhere to walk or run. So much so, that the runners were on the bike lane.
No dude, its not the only way to make money. You dont need to be on the bridge, thats nonsense. Go find a spot that doesn't make people walk in the street. That, or GO GET A JOB! Oh, they cant get a regular job legally?? Maybe go home then and stop draining our resources.
The problem about vendors is they make very good profit enough for them to establish a good store but they refuse and become greedy because they save on expenses like rent. Vendors have taken up entire sections everywhere and mainly operate on cash avoid to pay certain taxes because they don’t report their actual earnings.

This is fantastic news. There are so many people on the Brooklyn bridge - I've always felt there is no space for vendors and they should not be allowed there. A Lower East Side street with a busy pushcart market, 1917 Unsanitary conditions and traffic problems in all areas of the city with pushcart markets frequently raised concerns. But the pushcart economy was still strong in the 1930s when Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia decided it had to go. He didn’t want to put the vendors out of business; he just wanted them off the streets. With federal funds, LaGuardia established indoor markets where licensed pushcart vendors could sell their goods. On the Lower East Side, the Essex Street Market had 475 stalls in four buildings when it opened in 1940.

THANK YOU NYC!!!! KEEP EM THERE!
Starting to look like Tijuana 😂
Born New Yorker, they are giving migrants more opportunities than the ppl from here.
It looks third world to me. That needs to be cleaned up and organized.
why do we buy so much useless shit...?
I doubt any of these street vendors are paying taxes on the income they are earning. Probably getting government assistance on top of that. NYC was once a nice place to go to, now it looks like a third world country.
No permits so no taxes being paid but yet as Americans if we don’t pay ours we go to jail go home
Deport ASAP!
Where do they get all the merchandise that they are selling?

Great point. In NYC do they still allow stealing in stores up to a certain amount daily with no consequences due to lack of laws and less jails? plus providing still safe places to shootup drugs and free needles plus meds to reverse OD to save them?
they want you to relocate your store because of safety issue. You have too much merchandise that you occupied half of the pathway
Didn't someone get their 10% for the big guy?
Thank goodness
The Brooklyn Bridge never had that as long as I know of
If some nice commercial parking lot near this area can rent out vendor slots for $30 a pop for the day; sort of like a flee market rental.
