In the seventh episode, when DILAN was lying on the ground wet, with a burnt hand, BARAN arrogantly told her to change those "rags", even though he knew that all her clothes had burned. Of course, I know that BARAN is trying the best he can. I like his character as a whole but he can be annoying sometimes.

I wish someone would tell the Karabeys to speak nicely to people then there would not be such strife, but all they can do, Baran included, is yell at Dilan. What more must Dilan go through before Baran realises that the hate his own family spreads, is their downfall. The scriptwriters must have done serious sociological studies of Turkish culture to create this story. Are Turkish women so obsessed with a certain guy that they cannot move on when thwarted? Deryan and Mine are examples. Most Turkish men are kind and helpful (although I only had dealings with hoteliers and shopkeepers) but these scriptwriters make their womenfolk to be really nasty! Hanife is a case in point.
