Holding his mouth in that position can't be easy and when he's in a scene he has to maintain that expression even if the camera isn't on him. In some ways it's harder than having lines and having to meet marks for camera angles. Production does not need him on set all the time, just the wheelchair as stand in.

This is such a emotional scene - An adult son making shave of his father whom he grew up watching ...This hits really differently. This scene shows how hard it is for even for strongest of characters to keep going on ... Whole scene so beautifully written. Kudos to the writers

Completely agree with you!! The writers and the screen play writers both have done a tremendously amazing job.

Has anyone timed how many minutes per episodes the writers can chillax just by having Dilan look like a sad puppy or hesitant and him watching her without saying a word. Drawn out? I suspect the episodes could be quite a bit shorter if they cut that out a tiny bit. 😂

Yup, this writing of her and Dilan as the female lead as meek, constantly submissive, like sad puppy eyed women with not much back bone or ability to act (speak). Is sort of sad and a bit too unmodern. Ok if it were taken place in the 40-50’s, but it gets a bit backwords when it comes with so little wit and charachter. After I read that first at approx ep 150, the Dad will get better to speak up. I sort of think I will not last that long if the Dilan and the sister will be such naive martyrs. But it had potential to not be so patriarchal ALL the time. Dilan had more grit the first 30 eps.

I love watching Turkish series but I hate the way they project some women as being dumb and weak and helpless and the ones that appear to be strong are mean evil and cruel. This episode was quite an emotional one with Baran pouring out his earth to his dad. He is very strong emotionally for him not to have had a major mental breakdown.

I really like ❤❤❤❤watching turkey series...i love it...

This family is pathetic, they are a bunch of arrogant bullies. Treating Dilan as if she committed the murder is ludicrous. They are actually using her situation to enact their evil deeds and put the blame on her for everything. Hats off to Dilan she is sofisticated, elegant, intelligent and has class. Daraya the jealous evil woman thirsting for a man that does not even look at her. This happens in real life ie where a woman wants what another woman has and will go to all lengths to jeopardize a marriage or relationship. Such actions will never work because there are so many mistresses who are unhappy but will never admit it as their time with that man is limited and he cannot attend all functions and gatherings. 9 times out of 10 the man stays with his wife/partner. I worked in a law firm for 36 years and have seen and heard it all.

Your analysis of this family's issues is quite scathing but true, unfortunately, this happens in real life too. The script writers and producers take society's ills and augment them for suspense value - why would we watch otherwise? It does not matter how bad your own problems are, when you see poor Dilan and her torture deep down inside you think "well, I don't have it so bad". I love that one can converse about the series in this forum!

I think it's perhaps a religious issue or the producers of the series don't want to offend any viewers so you don't see any suggestions of nudity or partially clad bodies like showering or changing clothes. Even with Baran's injury they never showed his bare chest or parts there of while changing bandages. I think the family is Muslim though you never hear the call to prayer or see them pray or go to the mosque, though you do see minarets in the background.

Dilan is not smart at all. And she is frustrating me so much with her behavior. 1. Why on earth does she insist on being near the people who can't stand her like Barabn's brother and father, knowing very well that they will accuse her for everything that goes wrong in that house. And when she gets accused of this or that (although sometimes she puts herself in difficult situations) she cannot even defend herself and she puts Baran in a difficult situation because he always has to save her from his fam, bc this girl can't SPEAK UP!! 2. Why on earth she just stares and stutteres for half an hour, when someone asks her something, especially when Baran genuiely just wants to know what's up and help her. 3. His dad can blink. Why not one tries to communicate with him that way? Like blink twice for yes, 3 times in a row for no, and so on. They could find out what's wrong with him. Only if they paid a little bit of attention to his dad's expression when he's near his evil brother...If they were smart, they would get that something is wrong and could ask the right questions. 4. All in that house are so slow. It's not that hard to see that the uncle is onto something. It's not that hard to see that Derya is evil. 5. So the doctor is doing something to his dad. You would think that for someone with so much money and connections, they would have visited multiple med. to offer his dad the best chance to recovery and they would be extremely careful to what pills his dad takes. That at hospital they can see if the pills are harmful when his dad gets the blood tests done.
