But he's not her father so she can't help but examine everything she always believed about her life and the people in it. The vendetta and its aftermath is what changes everything for her. For without it her life would have been totally different. Despite the love he showed her, it wasn't enough to make up for the emotional abuse she suffered from Hanife. He was a witness to it every day. So he was complicit, no matter his reasons or justifications. Dilan was an innocent, vulnerable child and he was a grown man. He can't do enough to make up for the pain she did and is experiencing. Baran will be the man who helps her heal from the past.
