Have same car. mine is a 2016. and just got a $35 gauge off of Amazon.. The previous owner has speakers in the pod, or pillar so I plan to try to use that to install it there..

What's up bro! Quick question. Yellow unswitched, red switched can be connected through the fuse panel? What about the orange wire for dimming ?

I've watched this video about five times now I just got my boost gauge today mine is electric so I don't have to run the vacuum line it the interior of the car but I'm not sure where to tap power from the fuse panel where did you guys tap into?

There's two IGN fuses that are good to use. IGN 1 and IGN 2.

i gotta question i did this yesterday literally idk how i did it either but anyway are they the mini fuse taps or no because thats the only thing i need to do now is mount it and wire it and another thing did you use two of them for both wires or did you put the wires together in the tap

Lol that's good! They look neat, but the performance factor just isn't there (they will argue otherwise), and the community is just not kosher. Too toxic, people ragging on other people's shit, they make obsurd claims (like that they can beat tuned GTI's with their stock VT, LOL), all that good stuff. Not saying they are all like that, but I've seen it a lot. Just bought the Neuspeed FMIC myself and was watching your install video for tips, but ultimately I'll probably wait and work on it with my buddy when I get the K04 kit some time this week.

mk6_deceitfulone yea my buddy's is full stage 1.5 with all bolt one and I was able to stay right next to him before I got my time when I just an intake and downpipe...now with the tune and FMIC His car never stands a chance during a race lol. I wish a stock one would try me lol. They are slower than a fiat abarth when they're stock. Nice! Good luck on the install

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about if you're saying a VT is slower than a fiat abarth stock for stock. Learn about gear ratios and power to weight ratios before you make a claim like that. A GTI and a VT aren't in the same class of car as the GTI is a "hot hatch" and a VT isn't. Also, learn about the difference between the automatic veloster and the manual.. manual puts car lengths on the automatic every time. Roll race a manual Veloster with a good driver versus a GTI with a good driver and you'll see how close it would be. I have an intake, dump exhaust, and a tork pipe on my veloster and I've pulled on my friends Mk6 GLI top end every single time we've raced.

From what I can remember off the top of my head he has a 3 inch catless downpipe, Injen intake, front mount intercooler, blow off valve, and motor mounts

Yo i just installed my boost gauge and i did the same way how u did yours.. but im only running my boost at 18 psi is it because i get stock intake or i have a leak somewhere

Velonation 808 the stock intake could be but I doubt it. It all depends on what kinda tune you have. If you have a leak it would be no where building up to 18psi

Matthew Canta I love my GTI and wouldn't trade it for any car at the moment I recommend them highly. The Veloster is a nice car too and you can pick them up for a steal

Matthew Canta lol I'd recommend the GTI for both. Power wise it's faster stock and modded than the veloster and the build quality is way better
