In the summer of 1998, Marco Pantani and Bianchi delivered some of the most epic stage race performances of all time, taking stunning victories at both the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France. It's a feat that only seven cyclists have ever achieved, and it confirmed IL Pirata's place in cycling history and Italian culture.
To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Pantani's spectacular double Giro-Tour, we have created a very special commemorative edition of the Bianchi Oltre RC for 2023.
Our historic Bianchi Oltre RC edition is exquisitely finished in the exact same paint scheme as the 1998 Bianchi MegaPro XL that Il Pirata rides during his incredible winning season. The frame and fork are carefully painted to reflect the spirit of those times. Even the famous Bianchi eagle head badge on the Oltre's head tube is a faithful recreation of the one that adorned Pantani's Grand Tour-winning bike.
The Bianchi Oltre is the pinnacle of modern racing performance thanks to its light and stiff frame. This is the perfect bike for Bianchi lovers: a bike worthy of paying tribute to Pantani's extraordinary feat and legacy. As befits a champion's bike, Oltre was built on the top Dura-Ace Di2 group, Princeton Carbonworks wheels with power measurement in the SRM crank.

Solo una piccola accortezza: il nastro manubrio non si può montare così!!!! Si incomincia a nastrare al contrario!!!! Ovvero dove lui ha messo lo sckoc nero per poi finire nel tappo del manubrio dove inserire il nastro tagliato!!!! Una pecca imperdonabile per bici di tal livello.

Such a joy to watch a pro putting a bike together so well! When my Oltre Comp is delivered on 5/1/2024 the first thing I'm gonna do is strip it back to make sure stuff is lubed like the way you did on that. Bet the factory don't give the bike build the love it requires like you did right there. Awesome video editing too👍🏻

All of you talk about Shimano, but I saw Sram gear… anyway, if it is his dream build, then it is his dream build. He built it😂. I only have access to commercial gear, my highest class parts are Deore XTs (I once had XTR V-brakes). Of course I do not really need even them. But I like good looking, well engineered bike parts. I just watched this build really amazed how sleek the design can become with all the hidden cables. Really breathtaking how bike design evolved. Thanks for the vid

These colours surely look alot better than the standard colours for a regular Oltre RC which are kinda ugly in my opinion. This however really looks amazing.

100%. It's a real eye catcher over the regular dull and boring colors. Most bike companies have no creativity anymore seemingly offering matte black as their signature colorway on high-end bikes.

The owner of the bike shop that sold me my Oltre has a 2020 Specialissima with Pantani livery done for him. Mine in celeste, but I'd have happily given them more to get this livery.
