Nicholas Barnes The vocals is only one element in metal. The instruments are by far most important as they contain 3 more elements in VoM's case: guitars, bass and drums. And for this part, it was not much of an improvement. It is more of a downgrade honestly in terms of technicality, originality, structure and uniqueness. The song is very repetitive, the chorus is made of basic chord strumming, the song's structure is the same as the ones we find on the radio... I don't think it's fair to measure the evolution of a band judging by the vocalist only.

As a fan of old VOM and someone who doesn't mind the new stuff. I can honestly say that the clean vocals aren't what bother me a little about the new stuff. In fact I think he has an amazing voice. It just seems like Marc holds back. I know he can write a lot more creative riffs. Just seems like he plays it safe. I do think this song is really good though.

Lukas has a black hoodie addiction. Every time I see them play he’s wearing one and he’s wearing one in both new music videos haha Time for an intervention!

Remember guys, VOM always puts out the most poppy/more commercial sounding (compared to their previous albums) songs as singles. Most likely the album will have more heavier complex riff classic Veil songs. So keep that in mind before you call them sellouts or some other dumb shit Edit: The more I listen to these singles the more they sound like classic Veil. Listen to the guitar parts especially

Sartaj Hanspal they've been around for about 10 years, they switched vocalists 3 years ago. They've recorded one album with him and this will be his second. Before he joined the band they were a technical deathcore band however they changed their sound when the new vocalist joined.
