Heya garden neighbor (neighbor states to IL, count :-))! Years ago, I built a wooden raised bed that was like 20 inches tall. I broke it down and used the extra wood to make another raised bed but hindsight is 20/20..Having taller raised beds is golden!

Oh, I can just hear my dad reminding me (with a slight edge to his voice), "When all else fails, *read the directions."* Historically I've been quite the kid for telling myself, "Oh, I'm sure I can figure this out" and making things harder for myself than they have to be. Dad's advice was always spot-on, but you know what they say about how much smarter our parents became as we ourselves get older.

When I was editing the video I laughed at how I had the assembly guide and I leaned against the garage and I was really studying it. In within a matter of minutes, I was doing "figuring it out" instead of doing what the instructions said😂😂z

@@BBettaGarden And it all worked out beautifully. Just as an afterthought, some sets of instructions are NOT correctly edited, or logically worded, and a person is better off doing his or her own figuring instead of working from someone else's. Cookbooks are, and I quote, "...notoriously difficult to edit [correctly]" which statement I'll endorse because I've had the experience of following the recipe which did NOT say, "...fresh oregano" but that had to have been what was intended, at the quantity indicated. And sometimes it's the person doing the figuring instead of the instruction-following who just plain sees what's necessary and what's logical and who gets the job done, more readily and naturally than the printed instructions would have had him or her doing.

I have two Vego Garden beds and two Vegega which are identical. I love them! I love the 32-in. No bending at all. The other ones are 17 in. In my mind I often I rework my whole garden and add more. But I know that's not happening. Lol!

There she is!! Kris - which configurations did you setup in your garden?? For a short moment, I thought I would use the 3.5 x 6.5 configuration and replace one of the wood beds now but then I said, I'll probably get another few years out of them.

Thanks for commenting! I use milk crates to sit on but that still sits pretty low to the ground. Is the garden bench on wheels? If so, I think I can picture it. Oh and I was very close to asking a neighbor to help me with the bottom row of bolts 😊. That part would definitely be easier with two people.

I have the exact same size bed but mine is silver. I'm impressed that you put it together yourself. I TRIED putting mine together by myself and it was a disaster. It was a windy day and the panels blew across my yard. But it's pretty easy with 2 people -- one inside the bed and one outside -- to get all the bolts tightened.

Heya Christine! Which configuration did you use for your 32in tall bed? And yes, I can see the panels being blown away😊. I was pacing the garden trying to figure out how to get to the bottom row bolts of tightened..I was in the middle of texting my neighbor to see if they could help me.. and the idea about the milk crates popped in my head. That said, definitely easier with two people!
