They should have kept Vegeta as a villain. Anime has this horrible cliche of turning villains into heroes. Imagine a world where Vegeta kills Goku and Gohan avenges him. Toriyama has completely given up on the series and now pushes the pencil around like any other yes man. Can't blame him for wanting money but this show lost it's soul long before the dragonball super debacle. Unfortunately the rest of anime has begun to follow and one of my favorite pastimes is quickly becoming antiquated.

I like how the violin adds a sense of sadness to this already epic theme. As if he feels the burden and responsibility of being one of the few remaining pureblooded Saiyans in the universe.

I watched these as a child. The first scene this tone became relevant was when he went SSJ1 for the androids. It was a surprisingly monumental moment. Every Vegeta moment after that was truly inspiring, I think because the more I watched him the more I grew up and became more of a man. the honor (which has a lost meaning imho), the integrity, the power of his development. He is man of men to be sure. His character development is unlike any seen in any other manga,

"I am Vegeta, the Prince of all Saiyans!" This is not simply a statement. As the crowned Prince, this is a declaration of war.

I remember as a kid watching Vegeta sacrificing himself for the first time on Toonami. When he was told he wouldn't be able to keep his body in the afterlife. Vegeta just smirked and said. " So be it." And still went through with blowing himself up. That's one of my favorite moments in the long list of epic Vegeta moments.

Bro… I don’t even watch Dragon Ball-this is just so epic that I want to now.

The slow start is so damn beautiful. It sets the perfect tone for Majin Vegeta’s final moments of existence. After his fight with Goku, he was never the same, he began a new chapter in his own saga. And that is why Vegeta is, in my opinion, the deepest character in the entirety of Dragon Ball.

So anyone still listening to this badass theme in 2020?
