When I was a child I enjoyed pieplant jelly. I was a 5-year-old back then and I loved it so much that my granny taught me how to cook it, and I was making it while parents weren't at home... The process involved the stove so I feel like I was more mature than Barry is now)))) I no longer remember the recipe and it is sad really. What I am saying is that you should include a pieplant into your book, it truly deserves it.

Sunchoke, endive, green apple, and pears have become my new go to to lighten any meal. Veggies are great roasted and fried, but that can be heavy when not balanced out. That pear and romanesco salad with the vinaigrette looked amazing for a lunch with something like BBQ.

Dont let the normals know about this though, make them think this is a normal pass it on (make the chefs sit with them and everything) so that they have a false sense of security. Then they find out the chefs wont cook.

Maybe I'm just in a good mood, but this one was just - so funny to me? "I'm going to leave these chickpeas so the next chef puts them in the hummus." Every subsequent chef: *tastes the hummus, deems it sour or otherwise unsatisfactory, SEES THE CHICKPEAS SITTING THERE, does something completely unrelated* and then the revelation at the end... It was so...well telegraphed as a piece of comedy? Even though I know it wasn't scripted or planned. A real "this is why we can't have nice things" moment, and I get so much joy from you guys smashing proverbial nice things over each other's heads.

Yep. Makes for a smoother, creamier texture. I usually boil my canned peas for an extra 20 minutes at least. If i can easily mash them with my finger I consider them done. My family also roasts our garlic. It has less bite once roasted though so we had extra to compensate. When Jamie roasted the pepper I was hosting someone would make roasted pepper hummus but sadly no. If you havent and you like pepper you should. Its so good.

Best to worst: 1) Ben, for figuring out what flavors would pair best (comparatively) and salvaging the disaster as best as he could (although NO ONE figured out the chickpeas hadn't been incorporated, LOL) 2) Mike for the yummy romanesco 3) Barry for the grilled pears that contributed to the one passing dish 4) James for... trying...even though he shouldn't have tried to overcook the chickpeas and should've focused on finishing one component instead! 5) Jamie shouldn't even register on the scale. Especially bc he brought out eggs in a vegan pass it on!! Lol
