I go to Walmart and I get like a venison beef sausage. I mean literally I am supporting the people who have created a ton of bambi's in the world. I ate their parents. How do I feel? I'm sure I've watched Bambi many times as a child but I don't remember a thing after the parents died and a rabbit thumps the ground. The rest of what happened in the movies wasn't formative enough for me to remember any of it. I remember Little Nemo. I remember Robin Hood the one with the fox. No idea what happened to Bambi. Parents were tasty though.

Most vegans don’t understand how humane it is to give a grass fed cow a quick ending… in nature that beast would be eaten alive by wolves in a gruesome way. We give many animals good lives before we eat them and their nutrients they provide allow us to thrive in the healthiest and most natural way possible… Obviously factory farming is an issue that should be resolved and I’m on board with that. But eating meat in general is not cruel or immoral in any way.

@@thehuntermikipl1170 Theres a giant problem with vegan activists that they dont want to aknowladge. Namely, if everyone on the planet earth would be vegan, you would require so much farmland that deforestation would be 10 times as bad as it is now. They also dont like to talk about ''vegan farming'' that is so horribly NOT eco friendly that its even hard to describe, you need to see it. One example could be Palm oil plantations! Look it up yourself if you want to know more! Reality of the matter is that, meat happens to be many times more nutricious for us than plants... that means you dont have to eat so much. Our digestive systems are largely evolved around meat. Technically speaking we are classified as omnivores but, we do far better at digesting meat. If one is to compare herbivore digestive system to ours, one would notice extremely drastic differences!

It was common in a trade to arrange for someone else to slaughter your animal and give you the meat/some of it back. Or you simply trade some chickens for a pig and you each slaughter the new animal you are not attached to. So there were actually sane and humane farmers out there...I would do the same. Save myself negative affects on my mental state, and still eat well. Why not?

He likes steak because it tastes good, not because of the fact that the cow was killed. Eating meat and not eating meat is a decision, but attacking someone for choosing is what he thinks is wrong. She is assuming the fact that he consumes meat that he enjoys killing animals. You can advocate for the ability to eat and not eat meat, but saying that you are committing right's violations against animals and taking away their right to live is not right. A bear would kill you on sight for food, or to protect its young, but if we kill a bear for food it's suddenly it's wrongdoing. Black bears eat berries and honey, they don't need to consume meat, but they still do. We are genetically coded to be omnivores, eating both meat and vegetables. It's awful, but one person not eating those products just means someone else is eating more or more food is getting thrown away. They think they're helping but they're just torturing themselves because humans are meant to eat meat and animal products as a part of our diet. @Dec There is no congruity between the idea that not wanting animals abused is a purely vegan idea, or mostly vegan idea, or partially vegan idea, or anything of the sort. The most die-hard meat eater also agrees that it's wrong to abuse animals; elk hunters always try to end the hunt humanely by shooting specific areas like the heart/lungs. What constitutes abuse on both sides may be different ("abuse" is a powerful political tool that is often-abused by protestors of the sort), but there are certainly agreements on both sides, generally, in this regard. In other words: it is not a good vegan argument, because it is not a vegan argument at all. Edit: even asmongold, who routinely says "I don't care if people eat dogs" and eats steak on camera, hates that people breed pugs because of their genetic defects that cause them to suffer.

Nonetheless most of our ancestors would have taken animal based food when they could get it. According to them, it was delicious and tasted well spiced. When they asked what spices were used, they were told "No spices! Just dog! All dog taste like that!" They apparently spit it out and refused to eat any more after knowing what it was, because they're a dog lover. But the point being, apparently, dog meat tastes quite good. Though I imagine the diet of the dog plays a major role in that, so I'd bet a stray dog from LA would probably taste awful. But hell if I know for sure. I've never eaten one.
