Big shot out to how much agency you give players with the heart’s desire concept. I’ve been at some tables where DMs did not understand how personal of questions those are, and how uncomfortable it can make someone feel playing a character.

Thank you. There is no worse feeling on the planet than realizing you put your player in that kind of position. They call it a veil for a reason, it's all about tight rope walking up to the concept to tell the store, but still keeping your folks in control. That's true group storytelling
