A Mexican Pirate well I bet if you owned this business you would have a really different opinion, really why does it matter if the cow is slaughtered, the baby cows will be slaughtered, but veal is a quality meat. @@szabib2144 I mean if it's at the cost of actually solving world hunger, creating ocean dead zones, burning down the Amazon, etc. Then yeah beef, veal, and dairy is problem. Idgaf about the animals in cruel conditions, but when it's at the cost of our health and the biodiversity of this planet then yeah I do have a problem with it. I mean have you heard of the shit lagoons? You should search it up, and the excess nitrogen from all the nitrogen waste that runs through our rivers into the oceans creating these dead zones where life can't thrive. Or how so much fresh water has been wasted on animal agriculture that caused the worst droughts in Texas and California. Or of course the methane emissions which is 80x worse than CO2 as a green house gas. I mean you don't have to care about the animal well beings, but at least care for the future of our planet. Like all the land we wasted burning down for animal agriculture could've been preserved to fight climate change with trees sucking up carbon, purifying water, and could solve world hunger if we just divest our agricultural resources to us. We only eat 17% of plant agriculture while the rest goes to animals. Imagine the healthier lives we could've been living. Not saying ban meat or everyone go vegan, but drastically reduce the way we eat meat, especially in developed countries, especially the US. Even with cree graze cows it's an issue because ranchers have no respect for wildlife and call on the government to kill predators, which are vital for ecosystem health in many ways we can't imagine, and adds to the loss of biodiversity and bringing mormordamage to the ecosystem. Just cause a couple people are crybabies doesn't mean you everything they say, you come off as intolerant and stupid as you claim others to be without listening to real facts and logic.

@@szabib2144 also cause I assume your a conservative, you know that most of these companies the only reason why meat is so cheap is because so much of our tax dollars go to waste by subsidizing the true cost of raising these animals. And this might sound like a conspiracy but activists who speak out against how corrupt the meat and dairy industry is are either immediately sued as liars(even though everything they have said to this point has been true) even created a law to silence critics of the meat and dairy industry, cant remember on the top of my head, and also a lot of indigenous activists especially in Central and South America they have been straight up murdered. These aren't lies or conspiracy theories, just straight up facts. You could do some research.

Yeah its actually an important part of the process. Slaughtering an animal in distress will ruin the meat and make it much more tough. That's true with all animals that's why when you hunt its important to kill an animal with one shot and be done. If the animal dies slow or under a lot of stress the meat will be worse as a result.

@@RotisserieiJamie i was a vegan for a few years but it's really only a good diet for someone over 17, not pregnant or nursing, and not good for the elderly or very sick people, or those with certain GI diseases -- some of which require low residual diets. I stopped at the request of my spouse, but otherwise I think it's a great diet especially if you're good about eating enough b12 supplemented food. it sounds like you're a vegan for ethical reasons.

Most people don't know that young calves like to play outdoors like dogs. Cows that are raised outdoors in herds show instincts like Elephants. They like to interact with other animals and especially those they live around. They too suffer emotional and physical pain like humans do. But we are just forced to believe that they're food and nothing else. They are caged, killed and cooked just like they're some non living thing who don't understand emotion or feel pain.

This is the *most* pleasant face that they could put on. It's the Netherlands. A hand-picked farm on a day that they were prepared for a video advertisement. And they're still puncturing their ears as babies to tag them, pushing them to walk into trucks, feeding them a powder part-milk substitute for their mothers' milk, crowding them in boring gray pens, and they couldn't even find a way to show the slaughter in a way that looks OK.

as far as slaughtering processes go, this is one of the cleanest i have seen. the handelers actually pet the animals too

Have you ever tried killing an animal yourself? The thing is that you will lose any battle with e.g. a cow because they will give you one big kick if you ever tried to touch them. The only reason you can get meat is because someone else has done all the dirty, cruel and unnatural work for you. The thing is naturally you should only eat food that you can actually get yourself - without any weapons. If you can't make the kill yourself then that food isn't for you. Think about that next time you tuck into a beefburger.

I completely agree. I've heard so many horror stories about veal production but whenever I've actually done the research - it seems like veal calves are treated much better then the animals bred for slaughter in larger "factory farm" systems. I believe this is in part because veal is seen as a "specialty" or "gourmet" meat with a higher price point(at least, that seems to be the case here in the USA). Anytime I've had veal, I've enjoyed it. I just wish it was easier to find where I live & more affordable.

Growing up I personally loved eating veal, but didn't know what it was.

yes I did. But if you cut back on sodium, you'll have less of that chance for strokes. I eat mainly salads though, I'm eatting one right now. It's terrible what they do to these lovely animals just for a burger.

Yum white veal. Scrumdiddlyumptious. Some nice thin cutlets dredged through an egg/milk wash and patted into seasoned bread crumbs fried lightly in extra virgin olive oil placed on a pile of fettuccini alfredo and the whole thing topped with fresh grated parmesan and basil. Nothing tastier.

What the sinew eating, ruptured muscle and coagulated blood meat eaters don't understand is they are eating meat full of cortisol and other stress hormones realised when the poor animal is murdered. I hope they choke on their meat and it reduces their lives significantly. Most of the comments on here by the meat eaters show the lack of respect they have for animals and themselves. They think its funny to hurt, torture and degrade another life. These same people would do it to other humans as well if they could. The only good thing to come out of this is awareness and the hope that their evil and selfish eating habits terminate their years on this world prematurely.

@@walterthebullterrier9633 why wouldn't you have compassion for all sentient creatures? Why are you selective who you have compassion for? All living creatures move, respire, reproduce, are aware and grow. Why is your dog worth more than the treatment of a baby calf? Speciesism.

I would nevered ever eat Veal or Lamb,theses Precious Animals deserved to live a fuller Life,Can you imagine a Mother Cow has a very Stressful life without her newborn Calf,its very sad.

Taking a baby from it's mother to kill it and eat it. Then stealing the milk from the mother to make a profit is a real life horror story.

destiny fewell Because we are not supposed to take it, it is not for us, it is for baby cows. So it is best to let them have it. We can drink almond, soy, rice, coconut, oat and other nut and seed 'milks'.

Probably not all of America. Probably just a small number of large companies. There's a huge number of smaller companies in California that are humane, open-field, etc. Legit and good produce and it's right here in this country, just a truck drive away.

They make it look like the calves have such a great n realaxin time before the go to slaughter come on now we all know that aint how its gonna go.

What a miserable life for all those cows. I do love milk, cheese, and beef a great deal, and I guess this is the most efficient way to get the prices low enough to be affordable, but man, sad.

ammm-this makes sense, why would a dairy farm need lots of male holstein cows?they cant produce milk and raising them until maturity doesnt give them that much meat btw...soo...slaughter them as calves and and sell those delicious veal is economically strategic.

As much as I love animals, I love a nice juicy steak more. Never would have lived in the first place if not for our true love for crispy saturated fats! : )..

I hate the part where children’s voice is being voice acted. But in all Veal is worth the money. I mean in my opinion if you can’t stop an animal from being slaughtered everyday. Then the next thing u could do is to film the process of how you kill and slaughter the animal so that way people have an idea of what their eating. Fair is fair so a company should hide nothing like this if they want their customers to truly trust them!!

They are converting waste products into high quality protein and calorie foods. Then producing liquid natural fertilizer for vegetable crops. Bravo 👏

I find it very disturbing that after being explained to that veal comes from young cows taken from their mother she could feed it to her own children both of who's hands she didn't let go of the entire time she was out

Oh and here's a more real life way to look at this process:Cows give birth,girl baby's are going to produce milk like their moms,boys are sent to meet their doom,boys stay with their mom for 8 or 12 months old,put into a truck where it is humid,dark,and bearly able to breath,then sent into a maze of railing,separated by their color,then sent into a little cage where they aren't able to sit,turn around,or back up,then a vet does all kinds of stuff to them,then farmers take their poop for fertili

I had read online they kill them a lot younger than 8 months, its more like 4-6, and the meat is very tender and pink still.
