I've been following this event since it began. VDS is at the top of my radar for attending in person - the calibre of innovations and its successful efforts re diversity and inclusion. In particular older women in tech. Congrats and it's in my diary for #VDS2024 !

It was a nice event and I especially loved the top 10 pitches and various talks on the innovation stage. However, I think if the VDS wants to become international venue of high class it needs to work on a few things: 1) The pitch stage, was in a very crowded and loud area and it was difficult to be there or understand the pitches. This is also bad for any startup pitching and I feel sorry for them, since it is anyway enough stress. 2) Juan Luis Hortelano should pre-write speeches and read them in English, if he cannot speak freely instead of doing everything in Spanish. Other Valencian representatives did just that. 3) Change to a bigger venue. The individual booths were very crowded, especially on Thursday and made the experience very unpleasant for both visitors and booths. Note: If you still want to keep talks and events in Spanish, please note them as such in the program. At least for us it was not clear what is happenning in which language.
