    BIG thanks all the way from South Africa! Dealership said car must be brought in with a load bed. Will then do diagnostic test. Fortunately took your advice and it was just the battery. Thank you so much!!!!!

    How shit are your Ford dealers then? I’d never buy one again with that kind of customer service.. it should be common knowledge if you’re a Ford dealer what the issue might be before asking to bring it in on a truck😭😭😭😭

    I get this been annoying me for 12months..really slow engine crank can take a dozen key cycles until it eventually fires..I've spent hundreds trying to resolve the problem...it really does come across as a battery/charging fault but I dismissed this as I bought a brand new bosch battery and it reads good at 12.6v 13.6v when running and 11vwhen cranking...I stupidly have dismissed the service warning and convinced myself it had slipped a tooth on the timing or overfueling after ecu map...battery will be getting swapped now after reading this...thankyou sir for this information...top man

    Hi . The voltage on the battery isn't the concern here . You should be checking to see how many Amps the battery has left . Usually.modern cars use a 700-800 amp battery. If a battery test shows a loss in amps and only produces 300 Amps that's a cause for concern . Usually a good indicator the battery in kaput .

    Just had this problem in addition to the car engine not turning over when I tried to start it, despite charging the battery overnight (12.4 volts measured on fitting). The engine would still not turn over. Had the battery tested and it was found to be at less than half capacity, even though the car had been performing OK, even the day before. So had a new battery fitted and all is now OK - started first turn. Good, very useful video - Cheers!

    Thanks for the tutorial. I've just had the same thing happen and I've not been using the car much. Prior to the fault I've been using the power boot. I left the car for a few minutes and it re-started OK. I've put this down to an underused battery as you suggested. Just taken the car for a run around town with a few stops and starts-no problems- then a longer run to put some charge in the battery. Thanks again.

    Aw your so welcome . I'm so glad the simple fix has helped you out. The Vauxhall.manuals unfortunately dont really mention much about the Anth theft deterrent system warning. I think what's happening when the system is seeing a drop in Ampage from the car battery its activating the the immobiliser system as theres not enough power in the battery to format the flywheel and automatically brings this warning up . Glad it worked for you

    I had just a similar problem with mine a few minutes ago. I got to a traffic light halt, I could not move the car. I turned off the ignition key, and then, on again, car moved awkwardly slow despite accelerating, the indicating lights went off. I managed to pull off the road. Now, after watching your video, I will then go and follow your instructions and I will be back to comment on how it all went.

    Av had two batteries on mine so far . I have the vx line Sri 2.0 cdti with tiptronic . The car draws a lot of power from the 700 amp batteries . If the amps have gone from the battery then it losing its power from somewhere. You could try just recharging the battery . But it's likely to happen again so much easier to just replace it with a fresh battery m8 should work

    Luky Ali hi . All I did was to have a free battery test carried out on battery I also had the alternator and starter motor tested too. All three passed the rest . However what did show up was the 700 amp battery that was fitted to the vehicle had less than 350 amps whilst on test. so half of the batteries am page was lost. I bought a battery charger charged battery up and fitted it the next morning. The car started up straight away. I only had the car three weeks so the dealer I bought it off at Sheffield pared for a new battery on my cdti 2.0 turbo which was £73 FOR A 800 Amp battery so had no issues with it since . so I would definition recommend charging the battery IF it has been tested okay and recharge the battery overnight. If it occurs again then just replace it with a new battery . Regards Kev

    Hate to disagree with you but we have a brand new battery on our insignia but we are getting the same message but only with 1 of the 2 keys we use so it cannot be battery related. Only one of your keys will be a transponder key the other key is purely to lock and unlock your car only. This problem will most likely have many reasons why it's happening . My video is just to demonstrate to people having the same problem . Not to go into the most expensive fix and ASSUME it's the transponder key . My battery lost half of its 700 Amos when I got it tested and that drop in amosge is what caused the message to come on because there was not enough power to start the car . If it works which it has for several people then great but for others it may be a more expensive fix . I would much rather start out with the most of simplest fixes than spending a fortune when I may not need to . I hope that makes sense

    Abdul if you listen to the video . I also had my battery checked also starter motor and alternator checked all came back OK . the energy stored in the battery tho was only 320 amps . it's a 700 amp battery so there's clearly a problem . so I charged the battery up over night on full charge it started straight away. the security system monitors the car when Activated which uses power. if the ecu senses a big drop off in Amos it displays this message what you see in my video. it's just a simple recharge if the battery is ok or a new battery if it is not ok. it's not your starter motor if the car is taking a while to start . that's more if an ignition problem . if it were a starter problem the engine would not turn as the starter cranks the engine from the flywheel . I bought a new 800 amp battery as car was still in warranty so the garage I bought car off payed for it .

  • @LessonLearnt101

    @LessonLearnt101

    7 жыл бұрын

    Rookin this solution is probly the least cost effective fix to the ATW message . on a more serious note and probly. more expensive fix it could be the transponder Key isn't being recognised by your car . the ignition key is a very sensitive bit of kit although the casing is tough the PCB inside is quite fragile if the circuitry to the transponder coil is damaged the cars software will not be able to read your ignition key . the only fix I can suggest is to try a spare transponder key to have a replacement key cut and reprogrammed to your vehicle but you will need the vehicles Car pass for the key code . usually costs between £100-£200 hope this helps .

  • @LessonLearnt101

    @LessonLearnt101

    I think the whole point of this video is not to give anyone the sole cause of the problem as there will be many , that I have no doubt. But my method is the most cost effective. It costs pennies in electricity to charge the battery up and it it works then at least you know one thing . The battery has needed charging for one reason . It has lost Amos . For this to happen it may be the battery has developed a fault then you know to change the battery which would be the next option at a cost of £70 for a 700-800 amp battery. The transponder key would be the next step . Of course at a greater expense than the battery . It would be pointless to spend £100-£200 on a transponder key if once it's ready programmed to the car to the. Find out it was the battery all the long makes sense really

    I've had them replace my battery twice . Sometimes you can be sold a dud . I would purchase a new 700-800 Amp battery over the coming winter and see how you fair up with the new one fitted .

    don murphy . Hi Donn it may be a sensor adjustment or try switching off the interior sensor above the central mirror. it has a function button to turn off the interior sensors if you leave a let inside the car so it doesn't keep setting alarm off . the button is situated above the centre panel above the centre mirror deactivate the interior sensors see if that helps

    Sorry but that didn't work in this situation . That was the first thing that was tried several times but the warning kept coming . Up now that is the free solve without costing you anything. However If this solve does not work then it's onto this stage that I have suggested in the video. Obviously if the car would start by just pressing the button them there would be no need for this video. Unfortunately there is various reasons why this anti theft comes on and it's not all as simple as what your suggesting . In that case this I severe this video comes in . And if you read the comments section . My solve has actually helped a load of people out . But thank you for your interest in this video Photo Tutorials

    @@Edvard.Munchkin I know you weren't . Lol I was just saying this video is not for the simple fix as we've both describes . By pressing and depressing the keyfob . If that fix works then that's fine it hasn't really cost anything for do that. However unfortunately due to complicated electronic systems that we have on our vehicles today there are a number of things that can cause seemingly what appears to be a simple problem . The easiest fix yes would be to just simply press the fob on and off if that works great . But this anti theft system warning actually kicks in when the ampage on the cars battery falls below a certain level . Sometimes charging that car battery up can solve this problem however you have to then ask yourself as in my case which led me to out this video on here to help others is why has the battery which is rated at 700-800 amps now only have 150 amps . Clearly.not enough to turn the starter motor and kicks the anti theft warning in . Charging that battery may work but who knows how long it will last before this does it again . My fix was to change the battery . Respectively it hasn't occured since . So it's just a message really to people not to be taking Thier Carn to Vauxhall or Buick and paying big money on something that turns out to be a simple fix
