I’ve got a 1.4 turbo and in all honesty I love it. Yes, it’s rattly, yes, it’s squeaky and won’t ever be as reliable as a Toyota, but it’ll always cost pennies to fix. I love how nippy, comfortable and full of character it is!

I did very much enjoy my ownership for 2-3 years. Good cars if you want something that is cheap, reasonably fun to hustle and not too expensive or unreliable to fix.

The Toyota costs nothing to fix just tyres and brake pads + servicing. Corsa is cheap unreliable GM junk or PSA if you're getting the new ones. Only Corsa I drove consumed a litre of oil in less than 1000 miles and had the power steering fail mid corner and this was on a 2 year old courtesy car with 25k miles on it and thats before the fact its noisy and has awful build quaility.

Having driven a Vauxhall Astra before I got a Corsa there is A LOT to talk about what Vauxhall has done right on the Astra and totally forgot about when they designed the Corsa. The Astra is definitely more of a comfortable motorway cruiser, the Corsa more of a town car that on the side can also be used on the motorway. I like the Corsa, it's growing on me, but it could have been MUCH more comfortable.

Absolutely - I think one of the major issues was the fact the kept almost all of the underpinnings from the previous generation of Corsa, so it had suspension designed for a 2006 car when it launched in 2014.

I have the normal 1.4 none turbo version...had it for just over a year and stuck 15.000 miles on it working around town...Love the thing.

They are pretty good at being little run abouts.

I have the 2015 1.0 T ecoflex s/s white edition Corsa and it’s a great car that put out 112 hp which is not bad for a 1 litre. Quick question does anyone know what the eco button does?

  • @BuckleUpShow

The eco button essentially just disables the stop-start system in the car 😅

I have the 1.4 n.a. and it only has 90 HP, so, wouldn't say 'not bad', would say 'quite good' instead.

It's the turbo that makes the difference in the power output here. 112 PS from a 1.0 Turbo is pretty standard for that size of engine.

So when are you gonna "mod" it with some carbon fiber look vinyl on the interior trim?

I have a White Edition with the 1.4t 150 bhp. You could have this engine in the Red, Black and White Editions. I’ve had mine mapped which makes it rather quick. I love my car. Economy isn’t the best. I’ve had the 1.4 90 bhp normally aspirated engine. So slow.
