Seen him perform in Trinidad twice with Midnite and one time with Tippy, but never full up with so much vibrant energy and pace. Love it!

This is from Monterey Reggae Festival in 2002. Midnite had performed in St. Croix the night before, got off the stage at 4:30 am, headed straight to the airport to fly to California. They arrived with just enough time to take the stage for their set, which was mixed by Scientist.

Give thanks for this video! I was blessed to see him perform many times, and definitely not enough...but I never ever saw him dancing and jumping like this! @@Ron-eb7vw I think I read that in the description before and I wondered how he was able to perform so well and also know his lyrics perfectly. Were you there or did you see him perform at the other show too? They all performed 💯 and amazing of course, but the voice and presence of Midnite is like no other- if I only I could’ve been there 🥲 but I cherish the times I was.

This to me is the most healthiest and most vibrant performance of Vaughn. After learning that he had been diabetic and had kidney failure. There is a picture of him and Jah 9 on her ig page where he looks very unhealthy due to the pigment of his skin color and swelling of his face and stomach area which confirms it that he was ill. R.I.P beloved Vaughn 🕊

Dash away the old robe. This was the era of Midnite when i first discovered their music in 2002. The up tempo vibe reminds me of the audio of the Live from Tahoe in 2004 recording and of the first time i saw them live at Earthdance 2003 in Mendocino, CA.

Wow what a performance

I watch this video everyday and although I don’t like to regret, I do regret missing so many shows due to class and work...but will treasure all the shows I did get to enjoy his presence. Because I realized you could never see enough Midnite shows...I like to think of him talking and singing with Enoch and Of course JAH right now 🔥

This has got to be Monterey Bay Reggae Fest in 2002. Those Coast Live Oak trees are unmistakable. Or possibly up in Mendocino at Earthdance in 2003, but i don't recall Vaughn having his dreads out at that performance.
