Does this mean that we can place our mandir in south west direction so that mandir is facing towards north east but then we will be facing towards south west while praying ? Really confused about it pl help

Great presentation. Let me know if a house has majority windows facing south with main entrance facing east in the north east corner of house is it ok

Hey Pritish, South-facing windows get a lot of direct sunlight and tend to be the brightest during the day. The main door should always be in the north, north-east, east, or west, as these directions are considered auspicious. So yes, it is okay.

Hi Gloria, as per Vastu, facing the south when praying is not recommended. So, the mandir can face any direction in home except south.

Can we keep the Pooja Mandir in the Home office Room with computer and File Drawer . Should we remove the Desk , Table , Printer and Computer and the File Drawer from this Room to make it an exclusively Pooja Room . According to the Vastu for pooja room, each direction that is suggested for the positioning of the puja room signifies and represents something special which is why the positioning of the puja room is the most important part of Vastu for the puja room. North East is considered the best pooja room direction as it is considered the zone of lord shiva and hence, is the most auspicious. This is followed by either east or north. Vastu for pooja room facing the south is considered inauspicious. Refrain from positioning your puja room under the stairs or near a washroom as these places are considered inauspicious for a puja room. Ensure that the puja room is not placed on the ground floor or a higher floor as they are not considered the best places for the room according to Vastu. The door and windows of the puja room should open towards the north or east. In the puja room, a pyramid-shaped ceiling is recommended for positive vibrations according to puja room vastu. Pooja room vastu for east facing houses suggests that the pooja room be in either the north or east corner, According to Vastu Shastra, the northeast direction is considered auspicious for placing idols or pictures of gods and goddesses. Hence, it is recommended that the deity faces towards the east or the north direction in the pooja room. Facing east is believed to invite positive energy and the blessings of the Sun god, symbolizing enlightenment and new beginnings. Facing north is associated with prosperity and wealth according to Vastu Shastra principles.

@@shilpakawatra3284 no need of confusion. When you place Puja in southwest I am sure that would face either east or north. And when you perform Puja you need not stand straight before. You are going to stand beside that is to the left side of Puja direction which means the south side and you will face north. Simple logic. Allow the sunlight north east to fall on the idol or picture of God or Goddess. You stand on the side towards the south and face north. Your problem gets solved. If the idol/pic is on the south wall facing North then you should stand on the right side of the idol face east and perform Puja. Where as if the idol/pic in the west wall then you must stand to its left side and face north direction to do Puja. Hope this is clear.

If your entrance is in the south and windows face south or west, here are some Vastu tips you could consider: To balance the energy , you can place a decorative element or plants near the entrance. A well-lit and clutter-free entrance can invite positive energy , Opt for calming and light colors for the entrance , Use curtains or blinds to control the amount of sunlight entering from the south and west windows , Place mirrors on the northern or eastern walls to reflect light into the space , Avoid thorny plants or cacti inside the house , Avoid placing heavy furniture near the entrance or windows , water and earth elements in the south and west areas can help create a harmonious energy balance.
