First I went to the most unique and luxury property in Varkala called Trip is life. The property has an A frame wooden cabin which overlooks the beautiful lush green lawn and the Arabian Sea. I highly recommend this property to couples and newly weds and it situated in the south cliff of Varkala. Varkala cliff I have covered in the Varkala Vlog 1. After Trip is life I went to Kappil Beach which is among the best beaches in Varkala. Kappil Beach is one of the largest beaches in Varkala and it also has Kappil Lake running parallel to it. Kappil Beach is about 6 kms from the main Varkala Beach. Trip is life also has its own cafe which offers best food and views of the Arabian sea.
After Kappil Beach, I went to Oceano Resort which is popular for its ocean swing. It's a beautiful property situated in the south of Varkala cliff. The ocean swing was the best decision as the sunset I saw from the swing was one of the best sunsets. This is among the best things to do in varkala.
We ended our day at Oceano and the next day we went to Kappil Beach for surfing. Surfing is one of the best things to do in Varkala. I did my surfing session with Peddle Cult. If you are in Varkala you must try surfing in Varkala. Surfing in Varkala will cost you about 1200 - 2000 Rs per session.
I also went to another popular beach in Varkala which is Black Beach which used to have black sand at point in time. Now the sand is not black but the beach is really beautiful and secluded. Black Beach is one of the best beaches in Varkala.
Also I went to an offbeat beach in Varkala called Edava Beach which is 2 kms from Black Beach. It has beautiful Cliff formations and offers a great sunset in the evening. You will hardly find any crowd here. It is of the most pristine and offbeat beaches in Varkala. A must visit.
Last but not least I went to some of the best cafes in varkala during my 20 day stay. My top recommendation is Darjeeling Cafe for its extraordinary views and cuisine options. I also loved Inda Cafe for its soothing ambiance and delicious pizzas. Don not miss this cafe in Varkala.
My other recommendations include Sky Lounge Cafe for its rooftop views, Everest German Bakery, Sun Francisco Cafe and God's Own Kitchen (for aunthentic sea food options). Also try the sea food options at cafe Trip is Life. These are some of the best cafes in Varkala and you should not miss them.
