Various UK road safety and driving test films from the 50s and 60s

Ойын-сауық

A selection of vintage public information films from the COI collection that I believe are mostly unavailable elsewhere (I think I've seen the Check Four ones before).
They're all themed around driver safety or the driving test. Of particular interest is the IDT/Link driver training system demonstrated in the final film, The Right Approach; it's an indoor driving simulator involving a 1960s computer which was incredibly advanced for the time and must have been enormously expensive.
Apologies for the poor quality and burned-in watermarking, but it's from a research VHS supplied many years ago - the idea being that you'd pick the material you wanted and then order it up in full broadcast quality using the references and timecodes.

I'm sure it was Hattie Jacques who was driving that Anglia estate car as the community nurse, it was deffo Brian Murphy driving the furniture van.
