Variety in Focus: Pinot Noir - with Julia Lambeth DipWSET

Pinot Noir is one of the most highly regarded black grape varieties, grown in many countries and made into many different styles of wine. During this webinar, we will have a look at the history of Pinot Noir, the characteristics that make it a challenge for both grape grower and winemaker, and try and understand why it is so widely admired.
"Although WSET School London's building has had to close in light of the coronavirus pandemic, courses are still available online. In addition, while we are unable to deliver our usual packed programme of evening tasting events, we are hosting webinars on a variety of topics for you to expand your wine, spirits and sake knowledge. Visit wsetschool.com and go to our Tastings and Events page to find out more."

It would be a bit more helpful to have more writing on the slides

Just a feedback, not a complaint. I love Pinot Noir and Champagne, that's why I willing to watch, listen and learn from this video. But I had to stopped at 11th minute because I just can't go through the whole video because there were so many "Um..." from the presenter. A few time where the presenter does not sound confident of her content of the presentation. Is worth going through self-help like toastmaster event and read Harvard Business Review: How to Stop Saying “Um”... by Noah Zandan. Otherwise, try practice multiple times with someone else (friend and stranger) or in front of a mirror before going live or recording. I did that and got a high distinction in my group presentation of my CA ANZ studies (similar to ICAEW / ACCA) and I am from a non-English speaking background.

The amount of ums in this presentation in the first 10 minutes is so bad. Currently studying for my WSET, people pay a lot of money for these courses. I would expect a course facilitator to have more experience in speaking and presenting.
