+Christopher Ha , I think both Monti's piece and the Liszt Hungarian Rhapsodies have a lot of cliches that actually go back to the old folk czardas.

+robotkarel Im here again to realize that the Stravinsky's Happy Birthday's variation is based in the Sacre du Printemps, but that is extrange or funny because Stravinsky in fact made a Happy Birthday variation himself.

+robotkarel , I know. Several people have commented on that to me, and suggested that I use Stravinsky's own variation. I didn't, because the object of these variations was to be a satire rather than an historical collection.

It actually sounds like an improvisation out of the main theme from his Spanish Rhapsody

Chopin's needed to have more complex melodies than that... Liszt, Mozart, and bach was way on point.

@ Christopher Ha: I know. There are a lot of spots in Monti's Czardas that sound a lot like the Liszt Hungarian Rhapsodies. I think they go back to cliches in old folk Czardases. Did I actually quote Monti? I didn't mean to.
