Was there 9/22 ~ it is a wonderful place to stay and enjoy all the towns on Lake Como. HIGHLY recommend staying at the MIchelangelo B&B. It is right off the main (but quiet square). We had beautiful views from our room but also on the top floor veranda open to all guests. As beautiful as it was, the highlight was the owner himself. Michelangelo (younger than we expected but knows what he is doing!) was incredible start to finish. He picks you up at the rail station and shows you around the B&B. His breakfasts were amazing including delicious bakery goods he picks up in the early morning. He could not have been more helpful with suggestions, making reservations, and generally entertaining us. ~ Bravo Michelangelo and love Varenna!

A secret gem, indeed! We were in the Lake Como area many years ago, not here, though. Nice walk, we enjoyed the sights, sounds and scenery. Thank you for sharing, have a great week ahead. Greetings from your friends in Naples, Florida. (Like 3) 👍💯
