Ойын-сауық

Last year, with the help of my friend R.L. Blair, we turned a 14' long trailer into gypsy wagon to use for carving events on the road. It's a tiny home that is both functional and beautiful. Check it out!
You can find more of R.L.'s work here www.rlblair.com/

    Buy a portable camping tolite, the kind that you can just empty into a normal tolite and store it on the deck of your trailer or just a composting tolite. If you want you can also make/ buy a simple camping shower for the outside. As simple as a 10 gallon tank or bucket mounted up high with a shower hose and a small removable curtin.

    What made the decision for the larger porch area? Was it because of the weight already and it would have been to much? It did you just want that much space for it? Also I’m not sure how much of a ‘thing’ it is but people can buy a port a potty for a few hundred bucks and most companies will pump other companies junk out but I don’t know if it can be store on a trailer and taken off like that? (Just so you’d always have a toilet)

    wolfsf2012 I'm not sure if you knew or realized it but Griffin carves wood with a chainsaw... That is her trailer to transport the wood. She even said it in the video... So the reason it has so much empty space is because she needs the space for the wood she uses for her work... -_-

  • @wolfsf2012

    @wolfsf2012

    Count Dracus yes. I watched the video. But I thought it could have been both a place to crash and mostly covered place to store wood and Griffons chainsaws + other tools (that can most likely fit in her van or tuck so that’s a good thing). That way they didn’t get stolen or wet. In some tiny homes, which I realize that’s not exactly what they built, the trailer can’t take all the weight of the stuff inside. Then the reason I brought up about the odd thing about the port a potty is because she said it didn’t have a bathroom and being a person with a vagina, that can really suck trying to find a place to piss.

  • @CountDracusVanWolfen

    @CountDracusVanWolfen

    I understood the reasoning for the portapotty and I get the tool storage but she can still store her tools in there. There is room to move around in there so I'm pretty sure she factored that in. Most places (if not all for some crazy reason) you go for any kind of event have bathrooms on site so she just needs to pick the right spot for her vendor booth/display lot. And even if she doesn't get a spot close enough she can still walk to one near her. It was planned out for her needs is all I am getting at. If you would do it differently that's fine but when you have two needs to be filled and just a small amount of space and there is a certain way you wanna do it you are gonna do it the way you want anyway.

  • @wolfsf2012

    @wolfsf2012

    Count Dracus Yes I understand it was designed for her needs that’s why *she* designed and help build it. I was just asking about the trailer space because I didn’t know *if* she had a weight limit because of all her stuff, which I doubt it. Perhaps the vehicle she’s towing with might not be able to but I’m sure she would have thought about that too since it has lighter building materials. I was just simply curious about the front ‘porch/trailer’ space that’s why I *asked about it.* I’m not criticizing the build I just wanted to known a little more about the design and why is all.

  • @CountDracusVanWolfen

    @CountDracusVanWolfen

    I mean all you need to do is look up the type of trailer she has and the vehicle its attached to in the video and you can find out the weight limit. Every trailer has a weight limit and every vehicle has a towing capacity.

    Hi Griffon! I love your work - you are such an incredible, dedicated, and hardworking artist, and I know you inspire a ton of people! I wish, though, that you would look into things you do that come from or relate to other cultures more carefully. The word “gypsy” is actually an ethnic slur against the Roma/Romani people, who are still heavily discriminated against and persecuted in Europe. Also, I’d love for you to learn about cultural appropriation, particularly as it pertains to “dreads” and other Afro-textured hairstyles being used by white people. I know you’re a very kind and compassionate person, and thus I feel comfortable assuming you don’t have bad intentions by utilizing these kinds of things and you probably just don’t know that they can have very negative impacts on marginalized communities, so I’m hoping that you don’t feel I’m attacking you by writing this comment. I just wanted to let you know so that you can look into it for yourself.
