Varanasi - India's most holy city blew my mind AND I got thrown out of a hotel for being foreign!

I explore India's most holy city of Varanasi and share with you why through no fault of my own, I was kicked out of a hotel !
In this video I will show you the sights of the city, including the Burning Ghats and give you lots of information and top tips should you be lucky enough, as I am, to visit here.
I also show you where I am staying in the city.

Hi Mike, thank you for taking us to Varanasi, probably the number one place I'd like to visit before I die. I like your video style a lot, really makes me feel like I'm there. I'm a huge fan of Gabriel Traveler (the best travel KZreadr out there in my opinion), and your videos remind me of his. Keep up the good work. Wouldn't it be nice to be able to make a living traveling the world? You are doing a great job. Your subscriber numbers will grow no doubt. Stay safe.

Hi Coleen Thank you so much for your comments, they really mean a lot and it's an honour to even be slightly compared to Gabriel, thank you ☺️ I've been a bit disillusioned lately as my subscription numbers after climbing quite rapidly, have stagnated to a degree. I don't really do KZread to get monetised (although that would really help with the cost of travelling), I just enjoy travelling when I can, making the videos and sharing them with people and hopefully inspire them, like Gabriel does me 🙂 but when your subscribers don't move for a while, you begin to get a a bit disillusioned and think that people don't like the videos much. The comments I've had though have been lovely. Gabriel is my favourite KZreadr as well and maybe subconsciously I have a bit of his style, even though I'll never be as good as him and just try and be myself. It was Gabriel who inspired me to visit McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala and Varanasi on this Indian adventure, from watching his videos and I've name checked him in some. I'm so very glad he did as they were all fantasic places to visit. I don't know if you have checked out those videos? Thanks again for your comments and for watching

May be that Hotel is not Authorised or not have license because it doesnt meet standards by Govt or some agency . its just for safety of Tourists because lots of small ghotels mashroom without valid license , however still advertise as hotel .

I don't really know Kalki. All I can say is that it is a large hotel and has been on Booking.com for some time. I was even wattsapping the manager a couple of months before I arrived. He knew i was from the UK, said he was looking forward to welcoming me but when I arrived after a long journey, he was very rude to me and said he wasn't prepared to let me stay as I was a foreigner and not from India and gave me no help. There was a lot of people from India staying at the hotel. Also Booking.com made no mention that foreigners could not stay there Thank you for watching and for your comments. Much appreciated
