Hello Mike, I'm glad I came across your video, it was great to watch. I've been to Cuba 20 times now over the last 10 yrs and always keep going back for weeks at a time. One of the pleasures of being Canadian. I basically have the samecattitude as you when I done there. Over the years there has been shortages on the basics but you get by or bring your own. It's not worth getting frustrated over and ruining the vacation. I however usually stay at the beginning of Varadero when I do go. Then I take off from there, Havana, Cienfuegos, Trinidad, Batangas, etc.

@@Finding-Fish it reminded me of Spain back in the 70 early 80s , we are definitely going back next year it has such a different vibe from other places in the Caribbean.

mike, one thing I really love in Cuba, besides the obvious, is the shows they put on most nights, they work really hard to entertain the guest, we go every nite and it is always fun, or rocking, just another way the Cuban people try to make our stay enjoyable, keep it going with the great videos, and thank you for doing these very informative videos,

Woooooooo really 25 , 26 degree nice i was thinking over 38 plus humidity . Ìs really good deal for summer vacation here north toronto over 3.000 dollars for 7 days plus our food is really expensive and is only a cottage no pool and most important NO beach only a lake is not the same . Like you show Cuba is really vacation relax enjoy the beach doing mothing , breakfast , lunch , dinner is ready and No clean your room . The only one thing you have to accept every day what they have or not for food in Cuba .......NO problem for me but for many people is not good . Thanks for your very nice video with a lot of information . Wait for the next but dont forget your in Vacation ......❤❤❤🎉🎉🍹🍹🍹🍹🍹🍺🍺🍺🍺

Yes we have been there twice prior to Covid! First time it wasn't adults only, second time it was adults only! We enjoyed this resort for it's small size and beautiful stretch of beach. We are thinking next year to try this resort again and would love to have your input! Thanks Mike!

If you ask the workers where they are from. Most are from out of Varadero. Place like Cardenas and Matanzas. Where the blackouts and travel is very difficult. Some coming from even further in Country. So if workers are tired then so be it. Don't push them they will get it done. Most beautiful people I know and am proud to be a part of the Cuban people through my family there. Great misconceptions about Cubans. About Cuba as well. I dare anyone to live like a Cuban. I doubt you can do it. Its a must for them.

Thanks Mike. Enjoyed that. Melia Cayo Coco is closed effective Jun 30th I believe for 3 months of upgrades renovations. Maybe you could add it to your itinerary for the fall when they are scheduled to reopen. Would be interesting to see there grand reopening. Cheers Peter

The place we go next week is away from bugs Even last year at Barcelo Solymar and Melia International there was no mosquitos at all NO BUGS. I think it depends the resort we are going but some are really well keep. Melia International and Barcelo are really well keep.

I never seen varadero with seaweed like that

@@Finding-Fish I got there every year I was born there there is a cave near varadero airport its call cueva de saturno its like 50 meter deep its not a tourist destination and the water its more clear that a pool

I find I keep coming back to this clip. I walked the same path dec 2016...really miss it. While walking I thought of trying it but never did...question.. what would happen if off the beach I went into the wrong resort? Would they serve you? Would u get in trouble? Or would they notice your wristband? Also, how is the internet now? When we went you had to buy cards that had about an our of internet for 10 pesos. Thanks again Moke, great memories you share, much appreciated!

They won’t let you into because of your wrist band, they have security guards everywhere now a days… The internet is good here, Always free!!! And usually through the whole resort Thanks for watching Mike

That food selection looks a lot better than from a year ago. Would you say things are improving again?

I think when it comes to Cuba and food!!! Higher season is always better food quality, Now lower seasons kicking in I think food items will or could drop off

I am cuban , I live in Toronto and I love my island, it's beautiful indeed. Also I am so happy to live in Canada 🇨🇦 where I enjoy freedom. Poor cuban people who are going through a dictator government. One thing is.. the money you pay for resorts in cuba goes to castro family, they are the owners of those resorts. Cuban people don't get a dollar for the profit they receive. Although I must testify people and beaches ⛱️ in cuba 🇨🇺 are awesome.

What might be some taboo things in Cuba? Are there things to avoid talking about? such as geopolitical issues and or wars? Russia? (not sure if that would be a topic for a video or not) Other things people might want to know is the single life /hook up culture in cuba. (Even tho we know you're not single, maybe both you and Jenny can give your observed opinions of the scene for the age groups ) I hope this suggestion isn't taboo. Surprises or cultural differences. Might be hard to keep it all positive talking about the differences might not be good for viewership. But toilet paper (TP) doesn't get flushed in Cuba. That was something I didn't hear anywhere. Luckily I decided to bring a roll of my favorite brand for just incase. Just tryin' to help brainstorm some ideas. It's great seeing the videos. They gets me to check out the vacation package prices and start thinking about my next trip. Hope to see that those subs start to snowball to 10k soon.
