For a company thats KNOWN for high prices for good quality parts, them putting out a rig in a VERY reasonable price range at around 500 bucks, is just amazing. Vanquish really has grown as a company in the last few years and its fun to see them and watch them grow. Here's to many more very successful years 🍻

Hey, man! I recently got into RC and initially got into 1/24. Now I was to get my first 1/10, and I am seriously considering the Vanquish. It'll take some time for me to research all the parts and get everything I need, but with your comments about the manual I am confident I'll manage. I wanted to ask you if you could give me a list of tools that I would need for the build. I don't really own many tools so I would need to get all the tools as well. I don't want an electric screwdriver but need to know the tools for the hex, nut screw sizes, etc. Thank you! Nice video! I will probably watch your full build once I get everything I need.

I’m totally sold on the Phoenix being my next purchase. My problem is deciding between the portals or straight axles? I already have a Capra with portals, so I’m used to the clarences and I love it. But a straight axle looks more authentic. I guess my question is, does the straight axle hinder performance any? Love the channel keep up the great work.

I just managed to do the straight axle swap on my 10iii and so far, the only thing I think I did wrong was put the engine in backwards! Time will tell though. Has anyone built this kit yet? Is it hard, or could a "beginner" do it? I've learned the hardest part (so far) is having the right tools and learning the vocabulary, never mind the fact that the electrics and battery options are utterly overwhelming! Any help would be appreciated.

Any thoughts on buying this and a SCX10.3 (for the daughter and I) vs buying the SCX6 instead? Which we’d have to share. Been saving for 1/10 crawlers for us to upgrade from our SCX24’s (plus 1/10 2wd buggy’s, SCT’s and and old Tamiya’s we each built). And now we have this option that wasn’t there before. Which way would you go?

That's really difficult for me to answer, as I've got both. There's a lot of aftermarket support for the SCX10III, and with the 6 being so new, there's not as much. Only time will tell.

@@scalebuildersguild the whole reason I finally gave up the money for a vrs4 was for the axles and the transmission. The rear plastics get replaced, and the bumpers go into the parts bin. Then the truck gets built from there. So, this kit has removed all the good stuff that makes a Vanquish worth the money. If I'm going to throw half of the thing into the spare parts box I'd rather toss cheaper stuff.

I agree with Brian. I have a penchant for machined hardware which is why VP has always appealed to me as a brand. I think it is great that they are offering a pocket friendlier version for the masses, but im going to hold out for a deluxe version. Upgrading would be too expensive for me as I live in Germany (Guten Tag) and getting hold of VP parts is a costly undertaking. Id much rather buy the finished product pay the shipping and any duties and be done with it. The VS4-10 PRO is an option, but i much prefer the features and look of the Phoenix, so as hard as it may be, im going to bite my lip and wait it out.
