Holy hell! Lmao!

This game plays so much better on PC it's insane, the game really benefits from the accuracy of M+KB. If you have a console original, it's worth buying again on PC if you want to do another run on it.

Finished it on ps4 and had an absolute blast with it, kb&m would definitely make it easier though.

Platinum Games almost always delivers. Thanks for this detailed analysis! I still need to get my hands on this game.

As the title says Vanquish really, really deserves a sequal. I love the games combat but I feel like the game hasn't reached its true potential. I'd love to see Vanquish combat get expanded upon. New weapons and mechanics, a reworked melee system as I really don't like the energy loss idea with 1 simple punch. I love the melee finishers but i mainly use them for the 1 final enemy or use movement tech, it's far too limiting for practical use. I'd also love to see more movement options and more flushed out level desgin. The levels work good but I feel like if they added more movement options and focused on the levels being even more well designed around the new movement it can make the game so much better. I can imagine that the suit finally is no longer a prototype and gets new upgrades such as being able to use the thrusters to do a flip in the air to any direction, to get better positioning for the cost of energy. A possible use I can see is when you're in the near death state you can do a wall kick and start shooting some enemies in slow, and when you're about to run out of energy, do an air dash into some cover as soon as it runs out. New movement options like that would feel wonderful and would also lead to much more dynamic combat scenarios. Plus it'd just be awesome. The combat in Vanquish is pretty great with some annoyances but it's just so unique that there's no game like it, which makes me wish for a sequal because if flushed out more the great combat of Vanquish can go from great to outright outstanding and brilliant. Sadly I don't think Sega would be on board with a sequal if Platinum went to them and even the director I suppose, as he already left the company if I'm correct. I'd also like to see a more unique soundtrack and artstyle, while the visuals are great after finishing Vanquish most levels end up in kinda a Grey blur to me. I'd like to see a Bayonetta 1 to Bayonetta 2 situation where it kinda goes from a great looking game but kinda washed out to colorful environments that just pop. And the soundtrack if I'm honest, I never really notice it and it also just meshes together. Like it's nice but kinda forgettable for me which is a shame cause games that Platinum works on have great outs, Anarchy Reigns, Bayonetta and ofc Metal Gear Rising. Get some Dynamic electronic music, maybe even an electronic industrial style and get it to be fast, hard and memorable. Great video btw, sorry for the long comment I just really love this game and am still sad we haven't or probably won't get a sequal ever to this gem of a game.

This game is hella freaking fun I am playing it on my ps5 now I played it on my Xbox 360 back in the day.

Quick comment on the video 22:37 you mention when you die you lose upgrade progress on guns, this is only half true, if you choose to restart the level as a whole you get to keep your upgrades, it's only if you take the mid mission checkpoints will it actually take your upgrades.

It's honestly a shame that was no sequel to this. I honestly wanted to see more of this universe and characters. Sure, the story is dumb but interesting at the same time. They definitely intended to make a sequel but that ended up in the air.
