Being in my van 24/7 means that I'm always "on" a watch, or alert. It can grow into overwhelming hypervigilance if I don't keep it in check by balancing self-care activities. Unfortunately, simply doing laundry is a lot of work for me (because I wait until everything is dirty😐) so my best days consist only of something good to eat and curling up with a good book. Oh yeah, and a nice shady spot to park 🤗

Hey, one of my most favorite State Parks. I've notice the same thing, it's almost always empty during the day. But its so close to a tourist town that's understandable. Every home needs some house work, whether its sticks and bricks or on wheels. You can only let it go so far. Stay safe and have a great day.

Its okay to realize when we just need a break from the hustle and bustle of it all. On my way back to New York - after a family death - I knew I needed the down time. I took it slowly stopping at 2 KOA's and 1 hotel. I need that quiet alone time to recoup before arrival. It's smart to JUST BE for that regeneration. Thank you for sharing this very important message. 🥰

yep... i am just happy people enjoy the things i share enough to want to watch!! Never did i assume i would have a ton of followers but rather that the right people would find the places i shared and would enjoy them or learn from them in order to plan their travels!!

i don't have days like this very often but i have started to integrate more of my days in what they look like as a whole so people can see how i move

Bunny your the adventurer & educator - even if I recently traveled the same route you entertain and teach me. Consider cutting back on the more mundane day-to-day for those who can't do what you do so well. Maybe a brief report on weather, observations on what you've learned since last time you were in the area, what brought back and what items you packed/need for specific regions. Keep us learning from your travels and we'll be your "Forever Follower."

days like this aren't super typical but about once a month i find myself needing to do a day like this in some capacity

I spent 4 months in India with no laundry facility. I hand-washed everything in a 5 gal bucket and hung it out to dry. But then I grew up hand-washing most things. Easy to do the undies and tops with minimal water and have fast-drying materials. Couple times the humidity was so high it took 3 days for my socks to dry...be sure you have a dry change of clothes before doing laundry :D

3 reasons why you cut your hair short 🤔 1- you don't have to cut it as often. 2- easier to maintain 3- it's freeking HOT outside 🥵. 4- I like it short.... LOL 🤣 😅. Stay safe and and true to yourself 👍

it certainly isn't for everyone... in fact some people jump to really unrealistic conclusions as to why i have short hair and i laugh because in their judgement they miss out on all the fun i am...lol...

Oh I know you feel better after completing all the chores. I did that the other day and it felt so good. Now it’s time to do it again.

So cool to see you at that site. I spent 3 days at that exact space! (If not exact, then one over.) From the look of the trees you may have been there a week or so before me. It’s a great campground and I’ll go again! Such a peaceful place. And the laundry is great!

Purple is a great color on you! Bet you'd enjoy the annual Lavender Fest in Sequim, WA (3rd weekend in July). Entire town is 50 shades of purple!

Thanks I love color in general but sometimes it just attracts dirt on the road which is why I don’t always wear brighter colors but I love them!!

I understand that, time for myself!! And finding a place that gives you that extra bonus!! While OTR, I found a great place in SC, because I had to wait 3 days to pickup the next load, and the truck stop wasn't an option, no place to park, to busy and very small! While at a Waffle House, another customer told me about the campground by her place!! To my surprise, they told me of a couple spots and the one I chose had a outlet so I could use my extension cord, and a faucet and restroom/shower was close!! And a small beach for swimming!! I went back there a few more times and even told a few other company drivers who said they enjoyed it also!! And the topper was the free WiFi was awesome!! Hay even brought a bobtail semi once!! And that is the reason I had that chair in a bag, and orher little homey things with me!! Another great video, you are an inspiration!! Thank you!! Look forward to the next one, and checking out some of the older ones!! ❤

My very first childhood friend brought her father home on hospice at the same time you received your bad news. We kept posted on Facebook, and he passed a week and a half later. I know it's difficult for those of us that think deeply about these things, but at the same time, we'd be going through it even if we were sitting at home. I lost a couple of days on reminiscing, scrolling through family photos, touching on existential philosophy 🤔 I still feel "emotionally vulnerable", but the time isn't wasted. It just brings me back to focus on what is really important, centers me. It reemphasizes and brings gratitude to my lifestyle choices...because I can.

The ladies at work are finding their me time. I take my me time. Lol. After a week of work me time is a necessity. Glad you choose to take that time for yourself. You deserved it and more.

I enjoy traveling by myself and also with other people. One of the things that I did when I first started out was travel all by myself for three years. Then I found friends and I traveled periodically with them and then without them. I like to have a good balance. I don’t mind my own company and I definitely interact with everybody in my bubble around me.
