Having been born and raised in Michigan, I can tell you Lake Superior is frigid even in the hottest month! Michigan is definitely a beautiful state.

Been sick, went to Urgent Care last week. Only given prednisone. Going downhill so back today to Urgent Care. 2 shots in the behind, liquid antibiotic (can’t swallow hole due to sore throat) and should feel better in 48 hrs. I’m a Fed ( GSA) with health care. Use it…you earned it…you deserve it. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I know a lot of people from Michigan even Kalamazoo she was born back in the 1920’s…most of all my ex girlfriend from Grand Rapids and another friend from Flint and a good friend from Detroit so now I would love to visit but not when it’s cold 🥶

There are some amazing people out there, it's such an amazing feeling to make someone's day, I remember I had the most awful day about 6 years ago, I was driving home and this elderly man walking on the side waved at me when driving by and that made my whole day. I hope you're feeling better Nomi, take care.

Couldn’t you find a camp site to see the stuff at night? It can’t be that expensive on the off season? You need to spend some money on your nights sometimes .. think how you could rest and relax and heal if you didn’t have to worry about the stealth stuff every night. Just a humble suggestion. If I had the chance to see the northern lights I would move heaven and earth! Or at least I would get a campsite. 😂❤

I’m on Lake Superior and yes it’s cold even in the middle of summer! Taconite is used to make steel and shipped out of Wisconsin & Michigan to this day on huge freighters. Lots of old rail skeletons, tracks, harbors in our waters as the copper & lumber industry in the U.P. were some of the worlds best sources. Now depleted we just have the remnants. BTW Marquette is a college town!

I know these videos aren't "real-time" so hopefully you are feeling better by now! Michigan does look beautiful! It's funny because I think when most people hear "Michigan" they instantly think of Detroit much in the same way most people hear New York and assume the City, but there's much more to both states!

I traveled throughout the UP for business in the 1980’s. Marquette, Iron Mountain, Escanaba. It is developed today compared to forty years ago. Sparsely populated, it was like a peaceful, magical, natural, utopia with people to match.

I love almond, cashew or sunflower butter with jelly sandwiches. I toast my sprouted bread and its delish! The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is just gorgeous! 🥰🤗

Microwave One tub of vanilla frosting and One jar of Cashew butter for 1 minute. Mix together and place in 9x9 pan with wax paper. Refrigerate and you have fudge. Lift wax paper from pan and cut. Now enjoy.

I don't know where you are at this moment. I highly recommend visiting Copper Harbor in the Keweenaw Peninsula. The western UP is more remote and knowing you like sandy beaches, I recommend buying property somewhere between St. Ignace and Marquette. Everything you can want with the UP without the long drive to the lower part of MI. From Houghton to Detroit is almost 9 hours!

Looking at Lake Superior right now and yes it is COLD! November is the “ deadly” month on the lake and when the Edmond Fitzgerald went down.

I love hearing about the sincere conversations on your travels. It's good to hear good in people rather than all the bull you hear on the news, even though it's real. Thank you for sharing the good❤
