Wow, this is so enlightening to me. I’m so happy you are humble enough to share your “problem” with all of us. I am a collector of makeup, but I also have forced myself to keep all my makeup in the desk I get ready at. I’m happy I made this rule for myself bc it’s easy for me to keep my urges in check. Have you ever wondered is your makeup could be an addiction? I say this because an alcoholic can’t have one drink or he will get totally drunk. With you, you mentioned you’re fine if you don’t buy anything Jan-Mar but once you start shopping you can’t stop. That sounds more like an addiction.

Girl I can so relate with pulling stuff out and trying to take pics and missing stuff. That is why I don't do inventory pics lol Maybe when my hoard is a little smaller.

1. Oh man I went through so many emotions just watching your intro hahaha! Im emotionally exhausted now. I cannot believe you pulled out everything (that I just saw in part 2, which I watched first for some reason) and inventoried it *gasping*. I have do much anxiety just picturing you going through all that. 2. Your bathroom is so pretty! 3. I have that same stand alone caninet thats next to your sink in my bathroom and I started cracking up because I had the EXACT same vision for mine as I was ordering it from Target. Like Oh Im gonna use it for folded fluffy white towels and pretty glass bottles of bath things, etc.... and its literally turned into just a junk cabinet storing all my extra crap lololol

Paula...I know adults who can't throw up in toilets too...but I feel you on the stress of doing an inventory. I am thankfully done now, but I am sure one or two things will pop up that I forgot about. At this point, one or two products isn't too much of a big deal for me. I totally feel you on the "everything I am panning is enough for a year"...like I love my options but that is something that currently stresses me and saddens me. I feel you on the plastic thing. That is something I want to work my way into. This year, my goal is to finish all of my makeup removers and invest in the face halo product that a YTuber Chloe Morello talks a lot about. It supposed to be a product that removes your makeup without a cleanser and it lasts for like 300 washes...so that would be something I am interested in. Please do reviews in the future for your bar soaps. I HATE bar soaps that leave the skin with a film or are sticky.

Yay thnks for the shoutout will def give that sugar look a go ! :) i had similar thoughts as u did recently abt not having to dig back into the main stash for a whole yr... I was travelling for a bit over the hols and only had a makeup bag with me. And when i realised that that select stash was enough to keep me happy to create diff looks for normal days, makeup crazy days and special events, i started to think i could live on it for a whole yr... and then i got worried haha. I havent had the courage to do an inventory yet but will keep watching ur vids /insta to get support and inspiration !! :) now onto part 2 !

I love these vanity tour videos. I just want to get in there and organize it all so you can see it all. At one point I had more than 250 lipsticks and most didn’t look good on me so I had to declutter and I hated it. I kept thinking there must be a way to make this look good. I felt so wasteful and sad getting rid of them. But I love seeing all your makeup and body creams, etc. ya I know I’m strange. Haha

Pretty bathroom! I totally agree with what you did with the perfume, smart. I also am more tempted to buy when I put things "away" I am dreading the day when my child can open doors and drawers, lol!

Ruby Rouge haha. Kids are the worst. My two year old is obsessed with beauty blenders. They keep disappearing!! It may not be as pretty but the perfume is staying out!!

I have a lot of makeup, scented lotions & perfumes. I've almost completely stopped buying anything but I still get Ipsy & Sephora Play each month. I'm contemplating stopping those too since I already have more makeup than I can use in 1 year!

Marisa Mitchell I would never try to tell someone else what to do but cancelling my subscriptions to Ipsy and beautycon was one of the smartest things I did. I loved a lot of the things I received through them and it’s a great deal but I would want to cry every time there was a black eyeliner or red lipstick in the bag. It took me a couple of months t pull the trigger because of FOMO but once I finally did, I never looked back.

I'm the same way with the plastic bottles! I used to refill my soap dispenser, but I still would buy the larger refill. Even more plastic. 😕

Jean Parks so my husband and I have only been together since 2010 and my makeup obsession was already going strong so he knew what he was getting into as far as that goes. What’s new is my involvement on social media. To be honest, he doesn’t say much one way or the other. If you ask him, he’ll say I don’t need any more makeup!!! Thanks for watching:)
