What a painful way to die! I can't imagine what was going through this young man's mind as the hyena overpowered him,and started mauling him to death. He was probably crying for help hoping some fellow human beings would hear him cry,and come to his rescue. He also sounded like a likeable guy,the headman started shedding tears when talking about him. The professionalism of our police force is also questionable here. They're the professionals,yet they seem to be asking the villagers to help them come up with cause of death. Rather than waiting for the gov't some of these villagers should apply for licences to own guns. It's very easy if you can prove your areas are vulnerable to invasions by wild animals. They have the right to protect themselves and their livestock. All they need is somebody without a criminal background. Maybe they can put their resources together and arm their security guard. It doesn't make sense they had to fight with a hyena for several hours using axes and other homemade weapons.

Ummm that was a painful experience I was there when this crew visited our village to cover this story, I also gave what I believed might have happened to Sechi. I'm the one putting on that printed brown shirt. I was really in pian because Sechi would also be there for me kana janha iri rasvika kwangu kumba.
