Would it be possible to repent? Think about it, one not related to her incident realizing early, or before even knowing/ realizing, would it be possible for them to not be burned? If the person was greedy but not to a harmful degree to others, kept a standard. It's a interesting thought

I don't think I've ever gone from thinking that a character was evil and in the wrong to thinking they were 100% justified in their actions as I did after reading the backstory for this character.

My theory was that she was a child and loved to bake ( in the photo she looked like a kid to me 2:30, she also seem a little child like with some of her poses in the beginning of the video, like how she envisioned herself as a baker) and the man was her step father (because how he entered into the photo). She didn't get along with him because he was a drunk and she didn't like alcohol ("you had the wine, oh what a pain..."you're just here for the wine") one night he got so drunk he fell asleep and cause a fire killing her. Because of that she became so enraged she wanted to reenact vengeance. So she made a deal with the devil, which was to become a amazing baker in hell and reenact vengeance upon her step father. And her age up in the rest of the song...not exactly sure lol

okay it's funny that you mention this bc we were discussing this earlier this week. there's these fucked up and silly little hell creatures (think like corrupted versions of pets) that sarai feeds the pastries to. she doesn't feed them to the sinners because she has standards for her baking lol so the little creature guys just eat them

@@Helloagain987 My headcannon based on the song is that she does it so that "They're perfectly sweet" which based on how the sinners final moments. The sinners she deals with are wealthy/cruel people. But as seen in the song he only begins to freak out when the truth is told to him. He just dines and enjoys the food and this endless buffet. Rather than denying the fact that they shouldn't be there until it's handed to them on a silver platter like everything else they took for granted.

thats bc it just goes back and forth between three higher notes next to each over and over in the second half of the chorus and the strange vocal delivery that honestly most vocaloids will have just naturally does give it almost staircase-like effect to it. not to mention the note chord creates a lot of tension just by itself, but the way it stays fixed on those three particular notes really makes it a great release back into the first part of the chorus/the end of the chorus

AS A PERSON WHO CAN SING (well... has had a few basic singing lessons and has watched enough vocal analysis videos to understand what singing feats are impressive and what aren't) I loved that too. I know it's a vocaloid so it's not really a surprise it can do that, but if anyone else can pull that off without losing their breath I would pay them my family's entire fortune. Speaking of vocal feats, the way her voice climbs when singing at the end ("No, no, no, nononono~!") after the bloody analog horror jumpscare (stolenfromanothercomment) is insane. Like whenever I try to sing this song I can't ever seem to beat that part... but maybe it's because of the first half of the song taking away most of my energy lol

Okay so might I say, this is probably one of the well-y (?) made songs I’ve heard to date, it’s just, everything comes together so nicely in this song. Everyone who worked on this really outdid themselves here, and I mean it, well done!!

was that a death palette reference? With the colored macarons on the plate, they look exactly like those. otherwise the song slaps!! I love the way it plays with the tempo, but the slow parts don't feel like they're dragging on.

i love this song in its entirety but i am simply obsessed w/ the lyric "they say god died on the thirty-third." the thirty-third not being a day you can die on. god died on an impossible date, meaning he didn't die, or otherwise just implying something strange and off-putting about god. it's just, jeez that's such a cool way to word it the lyricism!!!! gah!!!!! sucha good song

I found you through Ghost and R.I.P and omfg I’m so glad I did. Your songs are so damn good and you deserve so much more recognition:D I’m not a person of color, but I’m so glad that I’m seeing more representation, especially in the Vocaloid community-

My favorite part of this song is the burning scenes. It starts out with seeing her burning alive with the bakery, then later on with the song you see a photograph getting progressively burnt up while showing her again with the man that bought her bakery out before it burns up completely. Then at the very end as she’s spinning the viewer around, there’s that one frame of her charred corpse before proceeding to throw the viewer in the oven to cook them. Now having the viewer burn alive in revenge of what has happened to her. I love details like that, especially when the fire effect itself also obscures those scenes to make that one frame much more terrifying when it happens!

something i noticed: the lines "you hear the calls and all the horrors of the haunted burning alive, but hey, you're here for the wine!" sarai was burned alive, right?? by a rich businessman who wanted to collect insurance on her family's bakery. he didn't care that she was in there; he was just there for the money. just an interesting tidbit i didn't see anyone else talking about

Now I might be overthinking this but... About the scary image that pops up at 3:45 (got me rly good by the way👍)... When I tried brightening it up I couldn’t see much but like... Since she died in a fire and she uh- burned.... to death... was that was her uh.. unalive? Or is it just like really detailed artwork

@@Timetraveler2411 It’s about demons in Hell responsible for punishing the worst of sinners, and these demons got their positions from their experiences in life, e.g. the Demon in charge of the Lust Department being a s***al predator-targeting detective/serial killer in life. There’s also a plot line about the Devil’s position being usurped by a newcomer, though I’m a bit more fuzzy on the details on that one. There should be more information on the carrd link in the description.

I firmly believe that Sarai would have gone to heaven had she not taken the deal. She seemed to be good in life. She was only offered the job because, by dragging the man into the bakery fire, she demonstrated a willingness (or at least the capacity) to kill those who wronged her. If she was destined for hell no matter what, the devil would have told her in order to pressure her to take the job. But he didn’t tell her that.

gosh i need to revisit this video more often. every time i notice something new! and this song is one of my favorites, took me a few months but it grew on me a lot. sarai's character design has my heart and soul and the vibes hit really well for me.

This has no excuse for being this good.
