Very cool to see a side-by-side comparison. It goes without saying, the Vanderhall is simply a cut above in terms of performance, aesthetics and quality. The company should be justifiably proud. My only persistent desire over these past few years... they need a manual transmission! I understand it has a bump shift automatic, but it's just not the same. Vanderhall says demand is low for a manual, but I have to imagine that as the autocycle has gained more exposure, there are a significant number of enthusiasts who'd pull the trigger on such a beast. And to fully drive home the vintage theme, go naturally-aspirated too! This is an experience machine, not just a go fast machine. Work that engine into a high rpm frenzy while finding shift points at the right moment. Build your heel and toe downshift skills as you run the shifter through the gears. Hear the song of the motor unimpeded by whoosing wastegate noises. Make the drive more than just "stab it and steer!" And yeah, lighten that flywheel... everyone loves a razor-sharp throttle response. This is the only area where the Slingshot, especially the new version, goes further. Anyway, enough soapbox. Tell everyone at Vanderhall we manual devotees are out here! The Venice is too awesome to be without! :-)

At least 2 people can sit comfortably in a Slingshot. I considered a Vanderhall, but chose a Slingshot because of the interior room. 203 HP is quite enough for a 1700 lb vehicle.

Vanderhall is front wheel drive so twice as much traction

That's the old GM engine, my new 2021 Slingshot R autodrive w paddles with most Vanderhalls, for the exception of the Edison.

Front wheel drive does some crazy reverse donuts. Take it in the dirt or grass.

I love that countdown.

Not to defend the Slingshot, but it’s not turbo charged. Let’s get apples to apples. The Vanderhall is very cool.

You should get one! They're so much fun!

Perhaps race the Slingshot R. Also, Slingshot is much more comfy than the Vanderhall, and much better prices.

Ill stick with my slingshot. No offense to the Vanderhall. But would love to drive one one day.

That race is not a fair comparison! The vanderhall is lighter and is turbocharged! My supercharged slingshot will eat the vanderhall for lunch!

The end of the video explains why you’re so upbeat about the vanderhall, obviously you’re selling them so you’d never rate the slingshot over them.

To do some sweet donuts, go get a plastic tray from like a McDonald's and put it under the rear wheel and whip the rear end around.

A Locost is much better. But you have to build it from scratch. I'm building one, with a Duratec 2.5L w/ITBS, Mazda MX-5 6 speed manual and MX-5 LSD= ~200HP. If you want to buy one that is ready, buy a Caterham, GBS(Great British Sports Cars), or MK Motorsports.

If you put a LS3 engine from a C7 Z06, 😮you would have the equivalent to a Ariel Atom V8, with the power to weight ratio of a Bugatti Chiron

@@SuperEman500 You can have that performance with a 4 cylinder and the weight is much lower. Caterham 620R goes from 0-60 in 2.79sec. Mine will go probably in 4 sec. With these cars, the handling is important, not the straight line performance.

i will smoke your vanderhall you have a turbo so i add a zzp turbo to my slingshot 320 hp

The slingshot is a pure douche mobile. Cool at a glance, but no thanks. My CanAm F3S will run rings around it on any level. Motorcycle people would drive a vanderhall, but squids flock to the useless slingshot. Just my humble.

That’s not a slingshot ?? That’s a side by side - Canam right ?? I’ll take the side by side anyday , can’t take the Vander off roading 😊
