Does the train gets late because of the railway staff or gets late due to other train crossings where you should know that considering the huge population of the country the railway system we have is not yet enough although it's the 2nd largest in the world. Not only crossing, there can be multiple reasons why a train can get delayed. There can be a accident where the train might have hit any cattle on the track, or any technical fault n so on ? What do you expect? Should the loco pilot push the train with all his strength to reach on time ? Seriously ? 🤦🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️

IST should be Indian Standard Time, not Indian Stretched Time. Time discipline is absolutely essential for Indians. We are not in 7th century.

My parents came from Puri to Hwh by Vande Bharat, there was 4 hrs delay in arrival at Hwh due to track condition, so if they want punctuality in passengers then the service of VB (including track conditions) needs to be top notch as well. However waiting for a passenger is a bad precedence - like this people will keep requesting to the pilot and a time will come when VB will never be able to leave on time due to some or the other passenger getting late always

Thankfully, the loco pilot stopped the train for a few passengers. In the UK, the bus even does not stop after the departure time. They don't even open the gate once they close.

I am a student aur mujhe abhi jyada experience nahi hai bahar travel karne ka. Main first time itni luxurious train me jaa raha tha .Is train se related aise incidents pehle bhi sune hain. Isliye station par 1 ghante pehle pahunch gaya.

Hope same rules are applied when a VIP is involved

This reason cannot be accepted for delaying the train. If we start showing such emotions all the time than our trains will continue getting delayed. This kind of thing will happen every other day. People must know unless there is an emergency , 1000 people should not wait for one person. The person should have the humility to accept his fault and not board the train, thats it.

I commend the driver for starting the train on time. We must maintain punctuality. You can't delay other thousand passengers for one person.

I once saw a Pune suburban local take off and stop for a school girl . That was very kind of the motorman since the frequency is too low on the section and the next local is in 1 hour. The school girl was running towards the train on the tracks.

I can relate to the frustrated commenters here, but, If a train is delayed on departure or arrival by 1min then it should compensate all passengers. The law should be applicable to both sides.

According to Train departure schedule it has to .. so here passengers has to come before train scheduled time

This man habituated in the bus transportation in west bangal, which wait long times for one passenger to board leaving the problem of other passanger. But this should not be happan. He should learn from this situation. This is not his personal train. This is public train. No bus/train should not wait for one person only.

People need to understand and fully accept the fact that if they are late, it's on them. Plan ahead, Leave EARLIER than normal, give yourself 50% time buffer for travel. (If you think it is going to take 1 hour to reach the train station, plan for 1.5 hrs travel time instead. Being late is a very uniquely Indian disease. Nowhere else have i seen this. And I have been to many countries.

My brother was Motorman on that train.. He got memo for delay... Also he felt very sorry for that 3 passenger😢😢😢😢

in rural areas i have seen trains are stopped by passengers so they can get in or off at their homes ....if trains halt like this then there will be delays and chaos

Passengers like this one are not punctual but they will expect trains to arrive on time.
