Vandalism Caught on Tape

Ойын-сауық

The plaintiff says he wasted four years dating the defendant, who he claims is jealous and insecure. He alleges she vandalized his property, which he caught on video, so he’s suing for the damaged property. The defendant says the plaintiff was controlling and abusive, and she only damaged the property after he dumped water on her. She’s countersuing for emotional distress.

  • @alexlibby5087

    @alexlibby5087

    Domestic abuse is often a cycle ie children who were abused or raised witnessing abuse regularly will struggle to identify proper boundaries, displays of love, and low self worth. (In the US atleast it’s highly unlikely therapy is available). Children in unstable homes with unreliable guardians will struggle with unhealthy attachments Abusers and Manipulators will pick up on signs of a traumatized individual and the cycle begins again. It can be pretty calculating - lovebombing, isolation, consistent gaslighting Increasing violence over time A better view of the situation is to ask what has happened for an individual to think so little of themselves that they believe an abuser is the best they deserve?

  • @endiarapier5663

    @endiarapier5663

    Yes, I absolutely get your perspective. In my opinion, they should only sue for emotional distress if something occurred after their departure. I think that’s just a way of getting back at the plaintiff in most cases.

    Judge Messy- yes they do say it, at stores, even in customer service on the phone, especially down south. Not just old women either. They say it to women too, as an endearment term. They have said it to me- because that’s just how they are.

    It’s so sad! These people come on tv under these awful circumstances and can barely articulate themselves to plead their cases. AND The defendant can barely string a sentence together. In a relationship? This young woman needs to be in school. My granny always said “when you know better you do better.”
