very immersive experience - even simulated the feeling of wanting to muzzle the person broadcasting their phone call to the whole railcar
After watching a lot of NYC subway rides, and the LIRR, this is refreshing for the area's beauty and lack of graffiti!

Takes me back. Not been in Van since 2014. I miss it.
This channel is reminiscent of my wonderful Vancouver memories. I love skytrain and Vancouver from Japan.
Im an American living in Tokyo, we have soo many trains its mind blowing, but the Sky Train in Vancouver has got to be one of my most favorite trains in the entire world. Take some notes America!

We have a skytrain which is the same and longer than vancouver which is in kuala lumpur malaysia we call it the kelana jaya line LRT you going to be facinated with the train ride.
I remember riding the entire line with my parents back in the mid 90's. Nostalgia bomb. Guessing its pretty crowded these days...
Very advanced train system.! The blue and gray color scheme is the most attractive. Kudo's to the engineers and builders. I am sure each pillar cost thousands of dollars to construct. Very expensive system. The suspension bridge is unbelievable ! A true "sky-train." Not for the faint of heart ! The little train that could (fly).! Reply

My father was part of the SkyTrain protect. The columns was built and poured on site however the other sections were built precast and sent to the site
Really neat, LAst time I was on the skytrain was april 2016 when i went to visit my brother. I don't think though that I have ever been as far as King George. as last time I crossed the skybridge was shortly after its completion when the train only ran as far as Scott Road.. When we went to visit him we did Main Street to - New Westminster and we also took Mellenium Line from New Westminster to Renfrew as this was back before the changes so that Mellenium line trains and expo line trains didn't share the same track. Pretty cool to see this whole run
I can watch this for hours
Dispite of the noise, this train is clean and really pleasant. And every time she annouces a station, the female voice, and the opening, gives me flashbacks from my vacations.
It brought me wonderful memories of Vancouver.
Wonderful video. Brought back great memories of this trip on the SkyTrain when I was visiting Vancouver.
Really enjoyed watching it. :)

Majqq12 Thanks so much, that's nice to hear! Makes me want to keep doing more videos! 😊
still think that the entrance westbound into edmonds / columbia are some of the coolest of any subway i’ve ever been on
Thank you for the great video! I love it!
Want to go above and beyond? Post train station stops with time stamps!
What a great view. Those mountains covered with clouds around it, we don't have such views in Holland. Thank you so much!
Great video! Really fascinating for someone from Britain to watch, I enjoyed watching the video! If you can do any more full journey videos, please do! Although I would appreciate it if in future you add station stops and announcements in text to the videos 👍
This is wonderful, very immersive. I visited Vancouver in the early 90s. Beautiful city.
So looking forward to my visit this year
Both the speed and the smoothness of the ride are impressive!
What a great video! Thank you!
Those angle shots are the best.
This video actually helped me make a getaway plan for my friend. Thank you so much.
Beautiful city. spectacular views.

Aaron Grant It does remind me of the DLR! And it’s a pile of crap! I know it’s ancient but the tube is good and does us a very sterling service, day in day out. As it has done for 156 years...

martin theiss True. But at least Canada’s West Coast gets some investment, even when neglected by Ottawa. In the UK, you’re lucky to get any investment at all if it’s outside London...
@1:01 I have yet to see a 6-car 1995 set 😜
I enjoyed Skytrain and seabus in Vancouver
Which sky train is it mark1 mark 2 or mark 3
How good are the connecting transfer routes with buses as far as schedules go? Calgary is terrible! Waiting times are bad, or if a bus is at the stop when train arrives, the bus leaves just as you arrive, and the next bus could be 40 minutes later! In the winter this is dangerous if the temperatures drop below minus 20 Celsius!
Do you remember what car number you were on?
Love it
Much more fun watched at double speed. I wonder how they pick where the stations go? There seem to be long stretches with no stations then short sections with loads of stations. I would have thought a uniform placement at 1km intervals would mean everyone was in walking distance of a station. The bridge at 9:25 is spectacular.

It's basically where people lived in the 1980s when this line was built. Metrotown, New Westminster, etc, were built up with shops and even some towers already. The long stretch between New Westminster and 22nd Street, however, was an expanse of railyards, abandoned buildings, and single family homes.
Nice cool
What type of skytrain was it a mark 1,2, or new mark III innovia
