Glad the anti-bro log is still around. I'm sure I'm in there a couple times. (2017-18)

It is fun seeing people experience UPT and creating a class personality. I don't understand fully, but enough to know that you guys will carry this class flavor forever. Much your senior, I graduated from Vance in the early 1960's. I was in the second from last T-33 class, so the 38's were already flying as the base transitioned. My assignment upon graduation was back to the Training Command at Laredo AFB. While my orders said T-38 instructor, that base had none. So again I was in the T-33 until the 38's arrived. I was in the first group of T-38 instructors. I picked up a brand new T-38A at the factory and brought it back to the base. That was a thrill as the plane had less than 2 hours on it. At Laredo I was privlidged to be in a small group tasked to keep our fleet of brand new 38's in the air with no particular mission for 6 months prior to the first students entering training. During that time, I developed some of the stuff that you now find in your training. Later, I developed the safety feature that disables the nose wheel steering when in A/B. Hard to believe this fun jet is 60+ years old. It has served us well. I enjoyed the rejoins in the vid. Good luck to all.
