Vanalden Cave Trail, Tarzana, Ca. 91356

Welcome to Pathfinders! Today we are hiking the Vanalden Cave Trail in Tarzana, CA 91356. This was a heavily trafficked but wide trail path. It's pretty easy until you get to the caves. There were some stacked rocks marking the small trail down to the caves. This part might be a bit more challenging for young ones, but my 8 year old made it down with ease. The caves were great, except for all the graffiti. You also have to be weary of the drunk/high people that like to hang out here. There were only a couple of them when I visited. Also be mindful of broken glass leading up to mouth of the cave. Otherwise, the cave itself was pretty sweet. Oh, there's also very loose sand in the cave so watch your step… I didn't and fell on my bottom. Overall it was a fun trail with the best view of the San Fernando Valley that I've seen to date. Enjoy the video!
