the problem is: the algorythm of these platforms only shows you things it knows you like. For example: if you constantly click on Flat earth posts the algorythm "thinks" you think the earth is flat so it keeps showing you flat earth posts and will not show you any posts that say the earth is round.

The issue with your comment is that you refer to "Facebook people" as if those of us that use Facebook are part of some fan culture in support of Facebook. 99% people use Facebook to quickly and easily communicate with friends and family and see what they've been up to without having to call and bother them. Just as dumb as calling people that use a car to get to work "car people" like they are out in the streets spreading pro- automobile propaganda.

@StickHits, It's also a convenient way to pretend family and friends are involved with in a person's life vs putting effort into the relationships. I only got on FB because a couple of "friends" decided it was an easier & more convenient way to stay in contact with their friends. That isn't a friend, when you can't bother to call and say hi you are now acquaintances! Also texting someone is no harder than using messenger. There was a comedian who said it well. On moving day how many of your 5000 Facebook friends show up to help, none.
