Thanks for posting. Currently going through whether to buy bigger van or keep my Ford Custom Transit to travel around Europe, come to conclusion keep what I've got and hit the road.

Home base looks good Sam! I enjoy a balance: 1 week with entire family, 2 weeks with grandkids, 3 weeks cruise, 10 weeks in the RV and 36 weeks at home to plan and recuperate.

It certainly makes sense. You got to be where you wanted after travel & different means of living. It’s all trial and error before we finally get the feel, inside… I found my niche. May not be perfect, but perfect for me. 👍

1st time to your channel. Just watched your home base video 1 yr ago also. Great points made. I sold a car I paid cash for that I could not lay down in, to buy a used minivan. Took care of maintenance and only am spending proceeds left from sale to DIY it for future full time travel at retirement. Currently a shell. Will start with small trips while still working. I figure down the road I will want to have the stability of a home base, something very modest so I can still afford to travel some. Maybe a bigger/taller van....I like your need/want analysis.

@@letsbefreeletsbefree7183 you can have all of that in a B van with 15 foot clearance so you can hit bridges and flip over in the wind!
