David is an amazing craftsman and such a cool guy.
I always smile when David is involved he is the best all around gentleman 👍👍🇺🇸
If you start doing builds on your station David, I'm in. Great video guys

He is true Jack of all trades. Love seeing Andre and David together. Two gentlemen with love for cars and trucks.

Great work and a bit shenanigans! I'm totally looking forward to watching the rest of the antics during your overlanding trip, guys! Have a safe and fun trip!
I think I would've wrapped the shelves in black felt. Nice build as usual by David.
How much of the TFL budget is for David? Worth every penny.
David, your carpentry skills and creativity never ceases to amaze me 😊 excellent work.

That mattress though! I'm crying laughing! Love videos with David. Keep it up you guys!
What a transformation.Great work. Thanks for sharing and taking us along
14:12 Dave subtly suggesting the engine needs a tune up
David's toilet is very clever. Fill the back bucket with kitty litter and you have a composting toilet. Urine ruins the composting action so the front hemibucket with the funnel is perfect for separation of wastes. We need plans for all of his projects.

Not to take away his skill, but you do realize, this is his take on what is already on the market for purchase right?

@@WW-wf8tu Commercial composting toilets (Home Depot, etc) are over $1000. I suspect that David's is about $50 max. That's alot of $$ for what might be a slightly better smelling toilet with an exhaust fan. I don't see a great difference in ease of emptying.
Always love watching David doing work! Andre, take that Buhanka to a mechanoc to sort out that starting issue! Thanks, guys.
Love the Buhanka project. And for this project or any other aging campers out there (including ground-tenters like me), get yourself a Milliard tri-folding mattress (and carry cover). Complete game changer--the memory foam is way better than pads, cots, or air mattresses. Nothing to blow up. Packs up easy.
Woohoo finally the bread loaf build ❤️
i love that darn van
Andre and David, it's a great combo
I've never heard someone crank a starter that continuous before in my life.
You Need more room for vodka 😜 . Overland you must carry all the vodka for your overlanding brothers.
A picture of Dave’s hand should be hanging in the Smithsonian titled “working man’s hands”. Maybe in B&W.
Cool van. Love it. Simple and functional. Keep the videos coming.
Very cool modifications for Buhanka, the living space looks really nice and practical. The cabinet looks like it fabric production, it's cute)
Nice work, David! Looks great!
I think you might need to bring the tractor with you on the devils highway!
i love vans, and the Buhanka van is really cool! and if David cant make it you dont need it
Remember when jumping to connect Red first and remove it last, never connect black alone.
I sure love you guys keep up the good work!!!
Love this content! Great work you guys!
Get a telescoping ladder to take with you. I have one that's 8.5 ft, but only about 2ft tall when collapsed.
Next Video idea-- MAJOR Tune up on the Buhanka before the trip-- would love to see that thing running great for Andre

Too late. This video was released WAY after they had already left. In fact, my guess is they have already returned too.
Damn, Andre must really want to burn out the starter. I guess no one told them you should never just sit their continually cranking.
Finally, some bukhanka love! ❤ Now you can survive zombie apocalypse 😂😂
Nice setup, good job.
The Ram is a nice truck but give me the van anyday. It's gotta be a relief to Andre knowing David is coming along, I think any kind of emergency that may come up David is the man who will take care of the situation.

Agreed!
David is quite the craftsman and builder. He deserves his own channel. That being said…what’s with the DeWalt tools for such a professional haha. Better than Ryobi Roman no doubt but such a professional should have better quality tools. Watching that 20v struggle with 3/4” plywood was hard to watch 😂

GO MIGHTY BREAD LOAF!!! This looks like a really fun build and adventure.
Great job!
Man David can do it all! 👍💪
Omg, David is genius
You can put a 35 inch tire under the ram in the stock location if you work it in right. David has all the skills to get you through.

Actually, since they are trailering the van, they could have easily strapped the tire to the trailer under the van.

Hey David and Andre @ tfl you know how up fix the mice issue : get a cat that will fix that problem!
Excellent thank you! I thought the Buhanka went to Moab but I have not seen the video driving in Moab.
Andre and David always get me laughing, work smart not hard
Waiting for the trip.. 🐥
God bless David!
Man I’m building out the bed of my Gladiator. I wish I had a friend who knew what I was doing. I made a drawer frame but no drawers yet.
I love how “unorganized” these 2 are ! 😂
Cool!
Andre stop at Walmart and get yourself a serenity memory foam mattress you can trim it down with a knife to fit your sleeping platform that’s what I use my Overland and rig
Hopefully the Buhanka will move with the added weight. It already had a hard time getting out of it's own way empty.
Great video! But if it gets pretty cold, with the van not being well insulated I dont think that heater would last very long. If it’s a low wattage say 750watts, you will see less than 3 hours of heat. Unless I’m over thinking it? Chinese diesel heater(when working) would be a great idea but alittle more work.
👏👏👏 CAMERA NINJA ALEX 👏👏👏
Looks like you could have just backed in a little farther over and cable would reach, but be a little tight maybe. I see more problems for bigger vehicles like my Lightning. Probably only the side facing charger would reach me. Still, I am excited to see more orange charge stations popping up on the Tesla charging map already. Will make EA and the others up their game if they want to compete!
Andre, should have gone to Big Lots in Brighton and gotten an actual twin mattress for $110. A lot more comfortable.......And you can try it out before you buy it.
My only complaint, or whatever is that bed and storage is not fixed to the chassis somehow. In even of a hard enough collision or bump, shtuffs uh gonna fly. Can't imagine what a hi-lift jack feels like in the back of me head... maybe fix the jack inside the box to the floor and give it heck!
Andre's FEMA overland entry build......🤣
Go David. Show them how it’s done. Maybe you guys should invest in a tuneup before you go in to the boonies.
I am very curious to try goose jerky
Great episode. I was distracted by the nice grey truck that carried the spare wheel. What was that?
Not sure if you left yet on the journey but I think you should switch to a heated blanket for under your body uses less watts

Too late. This video was released WAY after they had already been in MOAB. My guess is by now, they have already returned from the trip. Rare are videos released in order, let lone timed for comments to be applied in order to an upcoming video. Suggestions are only useful if they have not already done the next stage.
Oh my. How are you going to get that spare tire off the rack if the ram gets a flat? And how are you going put the flat tire up the rack? 😊
No huge screen, no car play, no driving modes, no adaptive cruise control, no emergency braking, no lane keep assist, no cameras, no heated seats or steering wheel, and no trailer assist? How will you even get out of the driveway? Yes I'm being sarcastic since some people will actually think I'm serious.
Hurry the hell up with the next video!!!!!!
I question your run time on the heater? I think your battery will only run the fan for 10 hours, because the heating element sucks ALOT of power. So you need to take a propane Mr Buddy heater, or better yet a diesel heater.
El Camino El Diablo trip to Arizona? Is there some sort of convention there?
all that thing needs is a carb clean and tune up and it’ll run like crap still. But marginally better
Goose Jerky?🤢 The cabinet color is WAY better than black. I like black but inside of a dark van needs lighter colors. I was going to say grey to match the outside, but that cabinet color is perfect! This is WAY more elaborate than my idea of a Budget Van Life. Air mattress, sleeping bag, (David's toilet solution beats Andres)some storage tubs for food/water and dry clothing. Done deal. OR gear is another matter all together.
Those spare tires look to big.. those will fit?
That mattress lol
i am in England and for so many years wanted a Loaf.... I am driving back to Ukraine soon to help animals etc in my old 4x4 Pajero and hope to see some.. to drive one would be amazing.
Question/observation for David, is the shape of the Buhanka Van and the Air Stream and such, done this way on purpose for structural strength?( like an egg, for example)

@@jmanlinc Yes, of course, but the Buhanka is almost round enough to roll over :)
Back up plan is bringing the tractor to help the Russian buhanka.
goose, who'd a thunk it.

A diiesel heater would be a far better option.

How heavy is the setup? Certainly will have a negative effect on performance. Should’ve done an LS swap first.

With LS swap Loaf also need transmission and axles swap, because original ones will not last long with this engine :)
I think Engine swap should be done..

Ouch.
All that weight, better beef up the engine.
Another downside of the 37s... Can't fit a spare anywhere practical.
I can see the romanticism in building a van like this if you have never been in one of them. But that thing on a modern highway is flat out dangerous. It is just so crappy. Yes it does well offroad but even there it is just so uncomfortable and poorly put together. It is just not a well built vehicle pretty much inline with anything built in the Soviet era.
I am starting to NOT click the like button when you insert a commercial into the middle of your video, in addition to the commercials I can skip from KZread. Just too much. Particularly bad when it is for a car for sale on TFL truck that is no longer there, but insurance is also bad.
Nothing y'all do is on a "budget" that applies to most...lol
Andrey , it's Russian junk
