No bathroom is a fail, for me. Some campgrounds expect you to be self-contained now (washrooms are closed). Good luck, you seem like a nice family.

You gotta compromise when you want to fit 4 seats and sleeping for 4 people. So the bathroom is the sacrifice you got to make.

Get a tent extension for the backside if the van. Ive been wanting one of those for my van. It can extend your sleeping area. Store it in a luggage rack on top of the van when not in use.

I feel that, anxiety and depression has been heavy. We're about to have a van adventure in April! We are choosing a minimal build out in our regular Chevy express. This was so beautiful. Can't wait to follow along.

I bet soon you'll add a curtain system for the bunk beds...adds privacy and will help the kids fall asleep. :)

I only watched because I thought ya'll were crazy for four people to live in a van but then....I saw your van.. ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!! Well thought out design,effective use of space (especially the boys' space) and aesthetically calm. Well done indeed. One of the best I"ve seen.

Ode to be young again, this reminded me of all,the fun we had going to weekend outdoor concerts and camping. The van didn’t have a bathroom. We always camped close to the facilities. While living in Virginia, we rented a camping spot for the whole summer. We’d head there when we got off work.Cooked out with anyone who showed up. We love our musician friends that was some great times out sitting by a bonfire beside the ocean.The years of Harvey Walbangers, Boons Farms wines. You guys have fun.you can document all. Wow, I went before home computers.

Brilliant van conversion, having an outdoor shower is a better use of space, a pop up tent or two, they can be joined together, depending on the type, will make the adventure thrilling for the kids. They are also useful as a changing room, when you have visitors, and as a daytime kids wc, they can never hold it long enough to make it to a restroom.

@Amy Walker....they have both a potty and a shower. I am thinking the potty is a composting one since it was stored under the cabinet and they said they have an outdoor shower unit. So necessities are there and using them is part of the adventure. It's all how you look at it.
